i redeem the codes and i checked my entitlements and its there
i'm at the part where varric shoots my pickpocketer then i went to Gamlen's house to check out my bonus items but its not in there

May seem like stupid questions, but...

Are you connected to the internet? If so, did you login with your EA/BSN account e-mail?

Maybe advance the story a bit?

Here's some things I would try:

Leave the House and come back
Go to say the Dark Emporium and then go back
Exit the house, save on a separate slot, log out, log back in; reload and check again
Exit out the game completely after saving on separate slot then check back
Advance the story a bit

they are not in the storage chest they r in a chest in one of the other rooms

Oops, I didn't process the first post correctly.

Yeah, you have to unlock Hawke's family estate and check the chest there, just like in Fable II and III.

Same thing happened to me, I just ran around the house for like 30 seconds, game froze for 2 secs and it just appeared in my inventory

wow I just found this out last night when I restarted my character lol
i feel so stupidd
