"The Dragon Age servers are temporarily unavailable, please try again."

I apologize in advance if this has been posted, ive tried searching a few times with no success, so im just gonna give in and make a new post.

This has been haunting me for the past day, it just refuses to go away. Ive tried switching my router to DMZmode, forwarding the ports, i even ended up trying a command line trick that i saw posted from DA:origins to no avail. I simply cannot connect to the servers.

Considering i preordered and am missing out on some stuff i would really like to get this resolved before continuing; Thanks alot :D

Try disable your windows firewall? Not your router but the built in firewall (or any 3rd party firewall) for windows. Some have reported that is the problem why they cannot connect to Bioware's server.

not working here either. Thought the problem is in firewall, thou granting all permissions haven't helped. Looks like game server is not online

I'll post what i posted in another thread.

I downloaded a DVD fix from GameCopyWorld Link: http://m0001.gamecop..._2.shtml#Dragon Age 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-DVD/Fixed EXE

And that fixed it for me. Hope bioware resolves this soon, but in the meantime I will be using that.

Solving Problem success on unconnectable to EA server

got to C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc open hosts file with notepad mine looked like this

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 gosredirector.ea.com
127.0.0.1 blazeserver.blazeemu.org
127.0.0.1 gosgvaprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1 gosiadprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1 gossjcprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1 demangler.ea.com
127.0.0.1 vmp.tools.gos.ea.com

now add # in front of 127.0.0.1 so it looks like this

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
#127.0.0.1 gosredirector.ea.com
#127.0.0.1 blazeserver.blazeemu.org
#127.0.0.1 gosgvaprod-qos01.ea.com
#127.0.0.1 gosiadprod-qos01.ea.com
#127.0.0.1 gossjcprod-qos01.ea.com
#127.0.0.1 demangler.ea.com
#127.0.0.1 vmp.tools.gos.ea.com

save file

that was the fix for me
