 Simple question, when, where, and how do I find Isabella in DA2 and get her to join my team?

Right now I just have Carver, Varric, and Avaline but before I venture forward with the story, I want Isabella part of my team.

Isabella is recruited in kirkwall, she is the the hanging man tavern.

Isabela won't appear in the tavern until after you've done some of the other quests.

shes in the hanged man , she was there on my third visit to the tavern right before i was to leave for the deep roads, but for some reason her quest is broken for me and i cant enter the chantry (her quest) shes there with me the map says im there but there is no way to enter said building

Tried doing the map (at night) again, where she gets ambushed? Someone mentioned earlier, he was standing right in front of the chantry but with swords still drawn. So maybe a spawn or trigger didn't work properly. It may sound odd,but just take the left staircase where she is waiting after the 2nd fight o_O
And all you have to do is to click the door, that will trigger the cut-scene in the building.

This thread has done some Justice. I aiming to try and recruit everyone before i do the Deep Roads, dont know when Act 1 ends and Act 2 begins lol.

So, I already did the deep roads, played for 3 more hours, only to find out I can't get her after? :-/
Wish something would have been mentioned that all companions are recruited in Act I.

Yeah, I was freaking out about why I hadn't seen her in the Hanged Man yet...until I went in later and then a cut scene started. Don't worry, it's an automatic thing to be introduced to her.

Same problem here. I've done everything up until here except the deep roads... Don't want to lose my opportunity to recruit her. How the heck am I supposed to get past this broken quest?

I've heard about this one.  I haven't gotten to Isabela myself, so this is coming second hand, but...

After the first nighttime battle in front of the chantry after you meet her in HIghtown?  She tells you to loot the bodies to find a map of where the thugs are getting their orders from.

If you loot the bodies to find the map BEFORE Isabela tells you to do so, you break the quest.  Wait until she's done talking before you loot and everything should be fine.

Again, I'm getting this second hand, so it may be wrong, but it may be worth a shot.  If you can, load a save before you meet her in Hightown at night and follow these instructions.  It just might work.

Yes, the Isabela quest glitch is a known issue, its' even in the read me file (yes, I know, nobody ever actually reads those things.)

See this is what I'm talking about.

With ALL of the marketing that has been given to Isabella (Yes, Isabella was the most marketed Love Interest appearing in nearly all of the trailers), you would have thought that Bioware made it more obvious as to how and when to get Isabella. However, it turns out that finding and acquiring Isabella is one of the more difficult task. To make things even worse, she isn't even a required character which is weird because again, Bioware marketed the hell out of her.

They marketed the hell out of Isabela because shes an Awesome Ninja Pirate. Also, they knew people like me that played origins would get an endless kick out of having her as not only a companion but also a love interest.

yall are slow. ive already passed the part where the qun attack you, ive recruited everyone except isabella. i was never given the chance.

You're right.

WAIT UNTIL SHE ASKS YOU TO SEARCH THE BODIES. Otherwise the quest breaks and you just stare at a door in frustration for an hour and then end up replaying 3 hours when you impatiently play ahead... : (

Eh, isabella really is a **** to get, it was never offered to me in my first run through, i actually quit after reaching act 2 and im starting a new campaign to try and aquir her. they really make you go out of your way to do it.

That's a dissapointment.. I've fought the Qunari and I am doing the quests to see who to replace the throne at Kirkwall which I think is act 3, and I have only seen Isabela when playing the demo, never even a hint of her on this playthrough.....sigh....I made sure there were no side quests or anything before finishing up the big ones so i'm clueless now. This is bad

I did the tranquility quest before, but I didn't realize I supposed to go to the tavern.

No. If you do not recruit her before starting the expedition, you won't get her at all.
