I tried a mage on the demo and decided to play through as one in the game. And my one problem is that Carver is a tool. Ugh I can't stand him. Stfu dude, stop whining cause i'm more awesome than you.

Yeah, same here. Little bro won't stop whining about how much he hates mages. He even mocks his dead twin sister in front of his older brother. Currently got a nearly maxed rivalry meter, even after getting like +15 friendship from his "Family History" personal quest. Guess who's joining the Templars...

"Your brother's a bit of a ******, isn't he?"
No, Aveline, he's not a bit of a ******. He's the whole damn boob.

I kinda get it,I mean he just lost his twin sister who according to everything liked thier older sister/brother better anyway.
But that still doesn't excuse him. I just leave him at the house

I like him actually, me and him are slowly working on an epic bromance and soon he'll soar to the friendship meter. He is rather inexpierienced, but I'm sure he will get better.

I leave him at the house too until he decides to take control of his life. He's a real stick in the mud, but there is some justification for the way he acts at times.

Agreed, I wasn't even an hour into the game before I decided that he was an annoying jackass. Like CatsGrin I just leave him at the house. If he wants to be a fancyschmancy templar then so be it...I'll just keep blowing things up with my staff, thanks. XD
I can understand him being sensitive in a way, I suppose. Especially if your main character happens to be a mage. Both siblings have magic and he's just the guy in the metal suit. Talk about feeling underappreciated!

I despise him. I need to get Fenris asap.

During my mage playthrough I almost ran to get all my characters so I wouldn't have to use him. It's kinda sad,Carver would've made a great character if not for the fact that he's an arse.
I mean the first line you have directly with him after talking to Varric's brother is "We're running from you're bloody templars"

I played as a mage in the demo & couldn't stand him. Playing as a rogue now & enjoyed watching him get crushed. Glad that I am working with my sister and that he is dead instead.

No, lol, he's a little brother. When do they not act like little snots? I like Carver, breath of fresh air as NPC siblings go.

Bethany is better than Carver, and I regret that she was in my evil playthrough, and had to be killed.

I'm quite happy I don't have to have Carver around while I'm a warrior or rogue, kind of understanding as a mage. So, I will hurry get Aveline and Fenris and say good bye to him. Templar if you want not my business.
Love for Bethany.

I want an option to choose who gets killed in the intro. I don't care if I'm a mage; Carver's reminding me why I'm glad to be an only child.
