I notice that the game appears to become faster and faster as I play. With the characters beginning to zip across the screen. Much more disturbing, the dialog begins skipping over itself, the visual going faster than the speech, causing people to interrupt each other and themselves. I've turned off the overclocking on my computer to see if that will help, but if anyone else would have some ideas, I'd appreciate it if you let me know.
ATI RADON 4600. driver 8.8
AMD Athlon 64x2 dual
Core Processor 4800
2.41 Ghz. 2.00 GB of Ram
Thanks!
Dialog clipping/interrupting. Game playing too fast?

I just read this fact about Dragon Age 1. Think it applies here?
Game can run too fast on dual-processor systems, making everyone bounce around hyperactively. Can be fixed by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL, going to "processes", right-clicking on daorigins.exe (which is probably eating 100% of the CPU), selecting "Affinity", then making sure that only one CPU is selected (e.g. CPU0). You have to do this each time you run the game (including after crashes).
