Anyone have an idea on how I could export the skeletal meshes used for the games characters to create custom animations? I'm very unhappy with the movement animations in this game and would love to release a MOD replacing them.

Somehow getting the skeletal meshes in a widely used format like FBX, or something similar, that I could rig/animate in MAYA would be fantastic. I work as a professional game animator myself, so if anyone would like to collaborate on exporting/importing to create a MOD for the community with updated movement animations let me know!

Sure it's not *exactly* what you're looking for.. but we would love to have someone working on custom animations for Baldur's Gate Redux!   :)

Good luck to you. I'm also unhappy with some of the animations. Everytime my female Hawke runs I think she's iceskatting

Sure it's not *exactly* what you're looking for.. but we would love to have someone working on custom animations for Baldur's Gate Redux!   :)


Unfortunately, I don't have time to dedicate atm to a full TC project. Just wanted to see if I could redo the run animations for both the female and male versions of hawk. They really aren't pretty. It's really a shame since I really do enjoy the combat ones.

If anyone figures out how to import/export the anims I could get started any time ^^. Two sets of run anims isn't that big of an undertaking :D
