 I had spoken to Samson about Feyndriel instead of talking to the Templar (Threk or something)..
Then I decided to go talk to the Templar, and he said to speak to Samson. The quest marker for the Wayways son quest is now pointing to Samson, but Samson will not engage in diaglogue nor will the quest marker move on to the next objective. 

Now I be stuck...
