Oddly enough, I wasn't disturbed by it, I was highly amused. My reaction was pretty much: WTF?! OMG ROFLMAO!
LOL my thoughts exactly... Most disturbing moment was probably Branka's 'friend' in the deep roads just before the brood mother. Talk about creep out!

To me the most disturbing thing about the game was the voice right before the brood mother and her creepy poem. That stands out as the most disturbing.
I didn't pay that much attention to it until I heard "spewed in her mouth". I listened to the verses properly then... darkspawn can be so nasty.
I was wondering when someone would bring that line up...
That segment was not so much dark as downright wrong. I'm not a woman, but I can imagine feeling fairly violated.
Actually, I found the whole of the deep roads fairly horrible. All the while you're supposed to believe there's all these darkspawn down below, waiting to claw their way up to the surface. Culminating in the brood mother, the golems and then the terrifyingly hard Branka. It very nearly put me off the whole game. It was all about people's bodies being twisted and abused, and people going mad. It was all rather Lovecraftian, I thought. Mindless horror.
I mean, I'm a fully paid-up member of the brutalised generation. But it's funny how some things make you feel like an old man.

It was a very SICK ending and the fact that you romancing her had NO impact on her decision made it even worse. I can't STAND Morrigan after this.

Hopefully when we meet her again we get a Mass Effect like option of "embrace" or "punch in face" and then watch her drop like a rock.

Yeah I hesitated walking down that hallway, was the darkest part of the game for me. I don't think you even need to be a woman to contemplate being violated that way by nasty beasties but it definitely does take on a more sinister overtone.
It's no surprise the dwarves are so brutal, they're pretty much living with a constant blight next door.

Sure.. but it's the only way to not have anyone die from killing the archdemon.. I mean you can sacrifice Alistair, yourself, Loghain as a Grey Warden, or turn your unborn child into a God.

The Loghain/Morrigan sexy time was disturbing as well. I'm not sure why BioWare decided to show that to me.

By disturbing, we mean awesome.

Wait what? LOGHAIN gets it on with Morrigan? When?
Have you finished the game? If not, I don’t want to spoil you.

I was disappointed with the end of the Orphanage. I was expecting an explanation of some kind as to what happened. Hrmm. Oh, and the lead up to the Broodmother was fantastic. Simply brilliant. It gave me that shuddering feeling that you get with great writing.
Anyone check out the Fanged Skeletons? Damn. Those things freaked me out.

Nah, seeing happy fun time with two male elves was indeed disturbing. It was like same gay hentei fantasy or something.
I beat the game but I'm all about friends with allister and I couldnt not punish Loghain. So I chopped him down cause I wanted Allister to be married and King though in hindsight I do NOT trust Anora at all.
Hmm so if Allister sleeps with Morrigan AND is King does he talk about trying to find Morrigan and his kid? I'd think that would haunt him for a while. Not the act so much as knowing he has some godchild bastard kid considering he was all torn up about beign a bastard son of the king himself.

That pimp slap animation in-game is epic. Just epic.

The explanation of Sandal using lyrium is a great one, but when I first saw him, I thought he was an only survivor, and didn't understand what was going on. The lyrium thing makes more sense, now that I think about it.

Yeah I was expecting something a little worse than rage demons.. rage demons are the lowest on the hierarchy.. a hunger demon would have been more fitting for an orphanage in the poor part of town, right?
Do we ever encounter a hunger demon in game? I forget.

As for the Broodmothers, I read via the Toolset that...
Broodmothers that began as human, they birth hurlocks.
Dwarves birth Genlocks.
Elves birth Shrieks.
Qunari birth Ogres.
So. Be glad that we only faced a dwarven broodmother. Imagine a Qunari broodmother. x.x
I swore I read that somewhere, I thought, in-game. Isn't it a codex entry or something?
yeah if you searched the rooms, you would find a codex entry on that.

I kinda enjoyed that entire part more then the other blight parts. I think it was the best out of all of em.
