Since I didn't hear about the Signature Edition until too late, I'm all
fine with those early pre-orders getting something special that a
regular pre-order or day-one purchaser does not.  And I'm also fine
with Bioware allowing non SigEd-orders to get access to the same
material, on release date, for a price.

But I think they advertized
the sale of this character improperly.  Why didn't they just say that
this Signature Edition exclusive can be yours also on day one for a
nominal price?  Instead they call it Day 1 DLC, implying that this is
extra post-game material, available now
even before you start the game for the first time. 

Except that
it wasn't.  It was designed and built as an incentive to pre-order the game early.  And if you
didn't pre-order early, you could still have it on day one, if you want
to pay.

The only people who have so far lost out on this deal
are Sig orders whose retailers cancelled their orders.  Some kind of
rebate should be offered to those people so they can get their Sig
content without having to pay more.
