That was a confusing title. Sorry.

Anyway, I was just wondering what your opinion was of Dragon Age Origins Blog's Sample Dragon Age 2 Builds.

I found some inconstancies, but since I'm crap at making builds myself, and I'm playing as an intimditating-to-build sword and board warrior, I thought I'd try their Champion build.

Anyhoo, just wondering what y'all thought.  :P

Even though I am upset by the slammed in my face "here, use this as your tank" Aveline. I think I am going to begrudgingly try to create a S&B warrior focused on damage dealing as much as possible. I tried playing as a 2 handed war but it just doesn't feel or look right to me. And I am not a fan of the rogue class and mage only slightly appeals to me, so what else can I do.

Pretty disappointed in Bioware for making a preset tank with a skill tree that is only available to said character. God forbid anyone wanting to actually tank for their party amirite? *long sigh*

Spoiler alet. Text is in white highlight to read.

Aveline will leave your party and join the guard once you enter the city. So she is a companion for a limited time. She is the Mahri of Dragon age 2. Also you can respec at the emporium.

Actually she rejoins your party about 5 minutes later...

Hmm. I have the collectors strategy guide and it does not seem to make mention of the fact that "that" happens. In fact it would seem to suggest quite the opposite. However, if you are correct, that would, frankly, make me very freaking happy.

Dur, yea I knew it wasn't sounding right to me. Now, question, do you HAVE to take her back or can you just leave her?

Hmm. Will have to see how that happens. I have mostly been looking around the city and have gone to get her quest yet. I assumed she was gone for good. Darn there goes another GP for another respec or I have to keep her at "camp" like I did Alistair when I played a tank.

Actually you Hawke will be the best tank for quite some time if you have pre order gear since stuff like the Blood Dragon armour/Ser Issac/etc is only usable by Hawke. The only items Aveline can use is Fadeshear and Lion.

Interesting. Thanks max, and I do as a matter of fact. SE Edition, preorder bonus, dragon armor, everything save for the stuff you can get from the facebook game. (I don't do facebook personally)
