She sounds like a mentally impaired Scottish midget.
How exactly is she cute? DURRRHURRR DIS CITY IS SO CONFUSING AND LARGE AND I AM INNOCENT AND THIS IS STRANGE TO ME.
She's like a self insert of some socially awkward idiot who somehow thinks a logically thinking human being would find that **** attractive.
I have no desire to hold Merril and cuddle her close.
I want to beat her viciously to death with a plank.
As that, I personally am hoping for DLC where you beat her with a plank.
Maybe with a nail through it.

I personally didn't care for her at first either. But how naive she is and her manner of speech eventually got to me. To a certain degree, that is. I enjoy her banter, that's about it.

I'm actually surprised in that I like her. Sometimes she comes off as being younger than I think she's supposed to be, though, which is weird.

Yeah I was surprised when she was revealed to be a LI at first tbh. As a character, it's amusing how socially awkward she is. I just recruited her as an ally so I can't say much on whether I like or dislike her personality yet.

I didn't like her much when I heard about her but after actually meeting her in game I was surprised to find that I liked her a lot. She seems like a cross between Tali and Alistair.

I didn't want my LI to be Isabella first, but Merril is built like she's made of popsicle sticks and her head is too big. And kinda bug-eyed. All the elves look weird now.

Frankly even if she is a bit aggrivating, shes a much better LI than Isabella. Mind you, I just needed the cut scene in Anders clinic to confirm that one

 She's socially awkward because she has had very little social interaction during her life. Her parents died when she was young, she was the First of the Keeper and others in her clan didn't associate with her. Now she's in a big city which adds to the awkwardness. It makes perfect sense. She's a staple in my party.

Not really interested in her, sort of an awkwardly-naive young girl who strongly believes in what she does with a voice sounds too old for her.

I like her, but its a pain getting influence with her. everyone else is well on their way to being a rival or friend, but shes still in the middle after like 6 hours of having her in my party

I think she is adorable! Currently I'm leaning more towards rival because I completely chewed her butt out after what happened in the fade, but I think my next character will romance her

All the elves look bad in this game(compared to DAO elves).

Marethari looks nothing like she did in DAO(and the change of appearance confused the hell out of me).

As for Merrill, I refuse to use her for one reason only-
