Graphic setting oddities

Only noticed this due to playing a mage. Details on the actual graphic changes below the next parapragh

Now, we all know the graphics settings are beyond odd at the moment, I've got a GTX 295 with 2 gigs of video ram and my game plays best on either Direct X 9 or High using High Res Models and Direct X 11 (basically 10, since it's on high setting,) and dismaly with any other set up. No high rest textures and DX11 makes my system chug, and I've got a i7 920 3.5ghz with 6 gigs of ram. I've got the beta Nvidia drivers installed.

Well, when killing the ogre when you first fight it right after making a new game, the mage summons two black gauntleted hands to rip it in two, just like the Destiny trailer with the Qunari. However, I ONLY see these arms under DX9, and never under any other graphics settings, no matter how much I play with them.

I know the graphics are a sight buggy atm and I'm sure they'll improve as patches hit for drivers and the game itself, but it seems a bit disapointing I have to play under DX9 and inferior graphics (the game still looks damn good...but I have a PC and not a console for a reason :P)  because I'm afraid I'm going to miss something like this.

Anyone else notice anything else that changes drastically or dissapears on them from DX9 to DX10/11? I can't run full DX11 due to my card not supporting it (should have waited two months...thats when the 460s hit. lol), and I'm only asking since I'd really like to run the game with the high res textures since it really does make a lot of things look really nice.
