Those with the guide, mine is not coming in until later. Amazon did a mistake with my order and I am the one paying for it with a wait *grumblegrumble* Anyhow. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me how to specifically romance Fenris. If you can quote verbatim from your text, that'd be great.

Note: Yes, I am flirting with him every chance I get, but I barely get to talk to the guy!

Man, that thread title made me do a double take. Not knowing there was a character named Fenris, I used that as the name of my dog...

Flirt with him whenever you can. Specifically after his first mission to initiate romance.
He'll say he's going to work on his flattery.
Then if there is more flirting options, take them.
But during and after his Act 2 story quest is most important. The slavers one.
Then you should get to talk to him at his house to initiate more romance dialogue.
Flirt with him only, then visit Hawke's estate at night.
If he's friend/rival enough, you will get intimate.
Then he's hush hush about this until he's max friend/rival in Act 3.
Which he apologizes and then you're good to go.

Make sure to give him both gifts. One in act 2 and one in act 3.

Where is the location of the first gift in Act 2?

Ah, did not realize that boards were not to be used for casual conversation.

Alienage, at night, in a sack.

There's one of those gold/yellow chests on the ground floor of the secret meeting area dock/warehouse level in the mission "Best Served Cold."

I'm having trouble with this romance, and I'm hoping someone could help?

In Act 2, I:
- Gave Fenris a gift
- Did his Bitter Pill quest
- Gave Orana (slave elf) money to start her life anew
- Came back to my mansion and had a conversation with him (just a conversation... I chose "Don't go" and he still went).
- Did his Questioning Beliefs quest, flirting all the way.

Now Act 2 is practically over and still nothing. :(
From Youtube videos, there is apparently an alternate romance scene where he comes back for a, uh, night-time confrontation, but that never happened to me either.

I do think I have 50+% friendship with him by the time the Bitter Pill quest was completed (looks like 70 on the chart, but it's not exactly precise). It started off low (20%?), but then increased with the gift and conversations. Did I mess up?

It might not matter, but did you let Fenris decide what to do during the quest? Taking the matter into your hands is a bad option.

I need help too. I actually got Fenris to Hawke's mansion in her room in act 3. Does that mean it's impossible to finish at this point?

Act2

-Didn't give Fenris a gift
-Did his Bitter Pill Quest
-Let Fenris decide what to do during this quest
-Asked the slave elf to become my servant
-Did his Questioning Beliefs Quest while flirting
-Hawke's his rival

Am I doomed to having to reload to Act 2 to finish his romance?

If Fenris has come to the mansion in act 2 you are fine. He get's upset and breaks it off, then comes back later. Just make sure you keep him all the way to the freindship side. (or rival)
If he didn't come to the mansion...you didn't have him above 50 to either side after the Bitter Pill.

I had the same thing happen, and I did let Fenris decide what to do, as well as all the other stuff.  I flirted with all of the characters I'm able to, but I didn't romance any of them (I also did his Questioning Beliefs quest, gifts, etc. before anyone else's)... can you not flirt with anyone other than Fenris before Act II for his romance to occur?

I think this is the case, I had the same problem with my first playthrough. I was doing fine until I flirted with Anders and he wouldn't have anything else to do with me. XD

I have issues here too.
I skip the list to the point, that he stormed off from the bedroom saying this was a mistake from point A (rival). And that's it. Nothing really ever happens. He didn't give me a quest and I am at the point where I have nothing else left but to do The Last Straw (maybe explore the coast a bit).

I just don't seem to have the last conversation with him (I seem to read that there is a last questioning belief-closure thing?).

A few more oddities. Since I hit accept on the letter in regards of the Last Straw, I can not finish Aveline's quest with Cullan either (kind of annoying). And my writing desk keeps signaling new plot, but no new mail ever arrives.

So the question after all that leading up: shall I just give up hope? Or shall I try ..uhm.. something? And what would be that something?

If you don't click accept on letters sometimes the quests will hang and you will always see a new mail icon for your home.

I did click accept on them.... and they still don't disappear. Though I am less worried about a surpluss singal then lack of the Fenris closure.

Yup, that was it.  I restarted Act II, didn't flirt with anyone but him, and it worked :D YAY!

Actually I did manage to make him visit my character's private chambers, after she flirted with Anders (though never got to the kissing part), however the plot just stopped there. (I didn't have 200 rivals, only 190, so I had to kill him - wasn't fun IG)

You can flirt with others and take it to the conclusion. However...he has to be your main intrest. If you "sleep" with anyone before him, it ends there. If you get too serious with anyone before him, again it ends. Anything other than the lightest flirts will stop the romance.

I really enjoy in DA stories, that not a single consequence ever made me go: HEY, that is so out of the blue? What just happened? It made no sense!
Even if I am surprised I go: ah, that is why she did react a certain way, or I recall that part and I could have known.

In case of Fenris, there is a point he actually asks if there are others, or if it is only him. (I forgot what all I did to prompt that question though).
