Got the Bioware signature edition from gamestop, pop the cd in, enter cd key, once installs starts, withing a couple seconds I get an error message saying:
"The installation of Dragon Age II has failed."
And thats it, no explanation, nothing.
Comp specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Processor: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6600 running at 3.40GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 6144MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX OC'd
Game won't even INSTALL...

Try doing standard installation instead of custom... worked for me.

Tried that, tried advanced, different folders, the full works. Game is registered online as well.

Exactly which of the Geforce drivers have you tried? The majority (IMO) of their recent ones simply do not work properly with graphics cards older than the GT200 generation.
