And the Dalish Assassin's mohawk look would look great on a rogue Hawke, female or male!

Hair in DA1 was signified by *_har_*, so you could search for that.

From what I gather our default char's where rendered outside the char creator so I'm wondering if perhaps they don't have the same underlying model?
The head morph will be different, yes. As for the hair...it's very probably useable with generated characters, but it may have clipping issues if it was tweaked especially for the default morph. Rather like what happens in DA:O when you try to use human hairstyles on elves, for instance.

Here's the filename for the female Hawke head morph:
z_6efa3f7ff79401cb.mop (hf_iconicfemale)
You can find it in faces.erf.
Once extracted (e.g. with pyGFF), this file is editabe in the DA Toolset.
You can copy the hair entry over to another chargen preset (they are the 22 .mop files in faces.erf), which you can then edit in the chargen.
Voila, your character should have the female Hawke's hair.

Could you then I theory look up the Dalish Assassin female head morph (Werewolf storyline in DAO) and the mohawk hair entry there, and then add it into a preset?
I imagine it might be a bit more difficult with the whole elf/human differences.

Edit: I managed to modify a preset (the last one) by extracting it, modfying the variable Morph_Parts, string 2 to match default female hawke (art\\characters\\playercharacter\\humanfemale\\hf_har_icon). I saved the mop as hf_cgn_009 and plopped it in my override folder, upon character creation the last preset on the list was exactly the same as default female hawke. Did I modify the wrong variable?Malcroix wrote...

Are you sure you didn't mix up the files?
Anyway, I'm AFK ATM (double acronym FTW), later on I'll get back to the whole thing.

should be a simple matter of extracting chargenmorphcfg.xml file from the DA2 files, adding entry for that hairstyle and sticking that in the override folder. Then the hair should be selectable in CC.

Put it on as DLC or a patch or send it to me personally for all I care.I will gladly dish out any amount of money (well not any) for this hairstyle. Also the blood smear across the nose. I must have it!
