What do they want me to do with the first barrel puzzle the one with the big barrels and the small barrells?

Line the small barrels on top of the bigger barrels. You should know they're in the right position when the barrels appear more visible.

hmmm also I believe you only get limited amount of chances. So far from what I see is if you cannot get it in the right order, then mob will appear....

There are two barrel puzzles. In the first you have to arrange all the small barrels on top and the big ones below. If you manage to do it in few enough moves, you get +1 stat point. If not, some demons will spawn and you can never get your point.

In the second one, you have to arrange the red barrels in a square. This gives you +2 stat points. If you use too many moves, you get the demons again and never get the points.

Oh, I guess it's also worth mentioning there's a free stat point flying around in the first room. You just have to catch it first

Man that floating book thing pissed me off. I never bother to try to get EVERYTHING on my first playthrough, and floaty book was one of the things I sacrificed until the next time.

Took me a while to figure those puzzles, but i admit i like this idea better than essences in DAO. At least u get to choose which stats u want to boost.
