Is this quest broken? im at the chantry door with isabella waiting next to me the map says im on the quest location and the doos has trhe double arrow symbol on it but there is no door icon to click to enter the chantry (i did this quest in the demo and the door worked fine then) Ive tried leaving the area and coming back ive tried mousing all over and walking into the door but nothing .
Am i just not supposed to get a good rogue in the group and just run around with a army of mages?
"Fools rush in" broken quest?

Me too my friend. It's seriously angering me. I'm unable to select the door, or, Isabella. I was really looking forward to her entry into my party. Hopefully, this isn't a game ending bug. I refuse to replay the hours and hours I've played so far to see if the door opens. HELP!?

found out what went wrong , I guess we looted a body before she said "check there bodies" and that some how broke the quest line and the door isnt activating correctly.
I maybe really screwed I got stuck at the door then figured whatever ill do a bunch of stuff and see if they patch this now I dont have a good save game to go back to.mI might have to start over, I like replaying a game but only after I finished it before.

The bug has been around for a while, as I hit it Monday during my last run of the demo. And I didn't feel like restarting it so I never finished with a mage.

To fix it: you must redo the part where she asks you to search the body... DON'T search until she ASKS you to. I had to replay 3 hours of game because I played ahead too.

They're really going to need to patch this. It should be a relatively simple fix and I know many people don't keep a million save files. I, personally, only keep about three, so I'm SOL for this quest... which is sad, because I was REALLY looking forward to having Isabella around.

On the same boat here, i wonder if they could tell us how to open the console and have us Jump inside or something like that just to have a workarround while its getting fixed.

I've already managed to fix this. I had no backup saves so I've enabled the console ingame and downloaded vaddi (visible additem mod, can be found here on the forum) and input "runscript vaddi letter". There I had to double click on Hayder's Letter (it was on top) and I could enter the Chantry.
