So there are items and runes that provide increased XP, better equipment drops and better coin drops.
My question is, if these items or runes are equipped on one of your companions that's in your party at the time, do you still get the benefit of them or do they have to be equipped on Hawke to get the bonus?

how do you attach them to your equipment?
I have 3 runes and can`t figure out , and I also have weapons and armour with slots in them to be attached by runes.

I'm interested in the OP's question as well. I have a shield that gives 2% xp gain but I can't use it. If I equip Aveline with that shield will the xp bonus work only for her or the entire party?
