Yeah, and if they don't like a game they make up funny stories about it. Like one review they did (that my friend thought was 100% true) said that Bill Gates paid something like $10,000,000 to Konami s they could hire nuclear physicists to watch girls jump on trampolines to get the breast bouncing 100% accurate in Rumble Roses XX, and the reason the game didn't have a story mode was also because the breast bouncing data took up so much space on the disc, and Bill Gates said that proper breast bouncing was mandatory for HIS version of Rumbles Roses.

Well, after their horrible Resident Evil 5 review, I don't think I could ever take anything from G4 seriously. They often give generally decent games bad reviews and generally horrible games godly reviews. Hell even most of the users on G4 disagree when it happens. It's ridiculous.

Sessler doesn't like RPG's in general, so not sure why he was called on to review DA. Skipped about 7 pages of what I am sure was exactly like the first page, just people quoting each other non stop and writing this under it, but I am pretty sure Sessler isn't a fan of the whole genre. Could be wrong, haven't watched X-play in quite some time.

Sure G4TV is a joke but Sessler is entitled to his opinion. There is always a double standard when it comes to reviews or opinons. If the review or opinion agrees with your opinion you like it but if it doesnt you hate it.

That's a dagger considering he is such a big Bioware fan, but ultimately I have to agree with him. I'm now 5 hours in and I've been through the same cut and paste cave 3 times, all of the combat has been wave based, the choices I'm making don't feel very impactful, and I still don't feel any kind of attachment to Hawk. It's not because he is a character with a voice, I liked Shepard right away. Its because aside from fleeing Lothering he is a mega-bad ass with no other background and a sibling and mother that I don't really care about. You should have been able to play as Hawk in Lothering training or doing something before the Dark Spawn arrive so he feels like he has an actual origin.

Resident Evil 5 was a bad game and deserved worse. AI was dumb, it wasn't scary at all, and being forced to play with a terrible bot partner ruined any kind of single-player enjoyment that I would normally get from a horror game as I spent more time trying to save her from running into enemies then I did worrying about myself. I respected X-Play at the time for being one of the few critics for calling out Capcom on it.

I'm curious, did you even buy DA2? You've repeatedly said how terrible it is and how you're not buying it, so why are you still on these forums? That isn't rhetorical, I'm actually curious.

lol. Not really. I don't pay attention to game reviews so I don't know who these reviewers are.

I'm enjoying the game quite a lot, so whatever this guy opinion is, it's quite useless to me.

  Im interested in the reviews and reactions people have after buying the game. I do have a heart and some of the posts are actually quite sad.

I love when people would claim I was a troll but all I was trying to do was  tell bioware was that they were making mistakes. These changes were too radical. You already have mass effect  why turn dragon age into a mass effect like game?? it doesnt make sense. now they have more trolls then they can count far worse then me.

If people didnt like  DAO then why try and change it into something its not . Dragon age isnt a action adventure game., its an rpg. If they wanted to do this style of combat system they should of never named the game dragon age 2. It should of had a unique ttitle of its own that way there would be no expectations of the game thrusted upon it.

People want the story based driven games with characters they can relate and become attached to. bioware was known for story not gameplay and combat.

They love RPGS on xplay and G4TV just as much as shooters, and they like BioWare in general, what you say is false.

the game shouldn't be released that early... it feels rushed compared to the first one. But, this is Bioware.... I still think they will listen to us fans (Sessler is a fan too) and will not rush into things next time.

Please Bioware do things better next time... I can wait 2 years for the next game just make it great like the first one!

Sessler who? The only reviews I look at are video reviews and user reviews. The former because they usually show good clips of gameplay, and he latter because I can look at them in mass. I go to sites like GFaqs with user reviews and look at the two highest and two lowest reviews, then head to YouTube to check gameplay videos/reviews. No way in hell would I trust an "expert" that gets (or had been) paid. Every big review company could've given DA2 a 1/10, but only a slew of bad user reviews would turn me away.

I had the distinct pleasure of having my ass handed to me by Abbie Heppe a few times in Left 4 Dead 2, just to give a 1st hand accounting.

Reviewers who make the title into a J.O.B. do, in fact, play the games they review, but I understand what you mean when you say these people don't: they don't play games the same way us average joes do, -usually-. G4 and a number of other sources have a number of notable exceptions.

I personally think Sess is just getting old, couple that with the fact that this style of game isn't his specialty and also that Sess is honest about his opinions and his comparisons, and you're going to get that "meh" response we saw with both games.

I don't think any less of the guy, but I fully understand this isn't his element. Not a big deal: he's saved me money in the past, and directed me to some real choice purchases. It's also refreshing that, despite the fact he's hooked into a network channel, he has no qualms about speaking his mind as an on-the-level gamer.

That's my opinion, though. You have yours. He has his. We're not always going to agree, but do any of y'all honestly think someone shouldn't voice their opinion just because you don't agree with it?
