not as long as most of you. bought both games one on of those super weekend sales steam has once in a while, because I heard good things about it. loved the game, haven't felt that way about a game for a long long time. hoping that I'll be able to say the same thing when ME3 come out :/
How long have you been a Mass Effect fan for?

Followed the series since the announcement of ME1, once the X06 trailer hit, I never looked back.
I got the game within a month of it coming out (I was 16 I believe, so too young to buy M-rated games.) Beat the game within a few months, and loved it.
However, I have been a fan of Bioware since knights of the Old Republic cme out, which was also amazing.

Heard of Mass Effect back in early 08, but I only had so much money so i bought Oblivion instead. Didn't ehar much more about it (aside from the controveries) until... Summer 2009! Saw the sizzle trailer for ME2 and it looked interesting. Later saw the Grunt reveal and Terminus trailer. I wasn't that hyped b/c I still had no real idea as to what it was about. Finally, I saw the ME2 Launch trailer and from then on I was convinced. Bought the game on my birthday (a couple days after the release) and I've been hooked on Mass Effect ever since.
Oh, and I recently borrowed the original from a friend so I could make a playthrough that will end up spanning all three games. One day I'll buy ME1. Someday...

It was late 2008 I was a casual gamer (I had a WII) but a hardcore Star Wars nut and having heard how good KOTOR was I tried it on my PC and god was it amazing. However apart from Mario games on my WII KOTOR was all I had so about 16 playthroughs later in early 2009 I watched a trailer for Mass Effect and I decided to buy it.........a few weeks later I sat in shock as Shep emerged from the rubble but knowing that the fight against the Reapers had only just begun.......

i wouldnt call myself a mass effect fan, but i would call myself a huge mass effect1 fan. one of my friends just randomly gave me 2 of his games to try out and one of them was mass effect. it was the first RPG i played, and the first game i ever imediatley replayed after i finished it. 50 run throughs later, its still rockin my socks off. but then i played ME2 and lost all my feelings towards the series. id have been better off if ME2 never existed. a fan of mass effect1, yes, but not of the sequal.

I'm relatively new to the series since I bought both ME and ME2 about a year ago when ME2 was released. Needless to say I was hooked from the beginning and still am.

After watching my cousin play over the summer of 2009, I finally got around to buying ME1 in April 2010. Once I got to the Citadel and started exploring and learning about the different races and background stories for that scholar achievement, I became a fan. By mid-June, I had both games finished and have been waiting in agony for ME3 ever since

Ever since the first time I played ME1, I was a fan. That was a few months before ME2 came out, so... I guess it was around October 2009. About a year and a half now?

That was the date Mass Effect was shipped too me. I was a little late to the party. I fell in love with it instantly though and got rehooked on Bioware.

Before I got an Xbox my friend told me to buy the game ASAP. So about a month after I finally got one I decided to buy it, that was around January 2009 I s'pose.
