I don't bother with reviews, i've been looking forward to the game since I finished playing Origins, before any details of DA2 had even been released.
And from what i played of the demo, 2 is gonna be another epic peice of software.

I make my own mind up on games, I don't let some review sway me one way or the other.

Its fanboys at their best, causing a crapstorm over very minuscule details.

Also, there is quite a lengthy thread in /v/ atm about this...they do appear to be spamming it.  If reviews sound the same, and use the same terms, such as this notable gem of the past:
"It installs a virus on your computer that can't be removed"  (referring to DRM)

Then the reviews are spammed.  In Metacritic it appears to be referring to "Dragon Effect", "Conversation Wheel", "2003 graphics", etc.  Just read a bunch of them.

Even if the game has it's flaws and downsides it's not deserving a zero. Most of them are trolls. And i'm willing to bet that after giving the game a zero they went straight back to play it.

Until I play the game I won't be freaking out. Darksiders has 83%, Dungeon Siege 2 has 81% and I love those games.

Meh.

Metacritic gets panned when reviews are high, it gets panned when reviews are low..

There are only a couple of places whose reviews really matter and can influence my game purchases...trusting random peoples opinions on the internet just seems silly.

Now if you'll excuse me..this guy said if I give him my credit card details, age, occupation..he can take a small amount of my money and make me rich! Smell ya later!

Who the hell trusts user reviews. 90% of them are so poor that they should be outright removed from metacritic. But hey I guess we don't hold anything to standards these days because apparantly  the people are the content providers. I'l just share a little review gem

Truth be told the console versions are only 3-4 points below the DA:O console scores, not exactly a significant difference.

The vast majority of people giving the game terrible reviews on metacritic, or here for that matter.. have either never reviewed another game ever (check their user info), or in the case of these forums don't even own the damn game. I have a few nitpicky issues with the game, mostly pertaining to feeling like there isn't enough side content outside the city, I always felt stuff like that was refreshing in other RPGs (Neverwinter Nights/Baldur's Gate/etc.) but the core gameplay and overall narrative and artistry met or exceeded my expectations every time.

If I had to chide Bioware for anything, it's that their newer games seem to have less content in them in general. It's too easy to knockout the newer games in a few days, whereas BG or BG 2 would take me at least a month or more even if I played 6 hours a day. I feel that even though I go out of my way to do every single available sidequest I can find before I start even one primary quest that there isn't enough to do, which is a shame because I really do enjoy the experience and character interactions that bring the whole thing together. Varric's party dialogue is priceless, not quite Shale quality, but quite good nevertheless. But when it comes to hard content, and priceless difficult weapons and armor to be obtained and whatnot... the staple of most RPG endgame dungeons, it's been ignored again. Even just an old fashioned difficult optional boss... none of that anymore either. I miss the challenging optional dungeons like Watcher's Keep in Baldur's Gate 2, that kind of content has vanished It was one of my favorite parts of knocking out RPGs in the 90s, because you really felt you'd ACCOMPLISHED something. Now I get an achievement for figuring out which end of the damn sword goes in the other person.

Is it really so hard to believe that a lot of people are disappointed with this game?  I know I am.  And it doesn't make me angry, it just makes me sad.  I even played through Origins a fourth time out of anticipation.  And what did I get at the store yesterday?  A half-baked combat system, some questionable design choices (why is everything so pointy now?), and a bunch of bugs and glitches.

Stil do not have mine copy wil have it in 2 or 3 days max I only played the demo so i shlou prophably say nothing but ONLY thin ih that mergatrolingflame i agree is the voice acting it just seemed a bit ..forced sometimes

They say how professional reviewers are bought out all the time,

but hey, those editors review or play much more games good or bad than normal ppl do
so, they quite possibly know their way around rating games with relatively objective? system.

So those incredibly low score user review without solid explanation is complete nonsense.,.,
