I donno if I agree because I live in EU and haven't had a chance to play it yet ... but if they like it ..then I will probaly also like it ...

Why would you trust a FPS player to review a RPG?

That reviewer hasnt reviewed an RPG since Alpha Protocol (if you can call that an RPG)

Seems reasonable but that's a bad score for a AAA title.

This game deserves no score lower then a 7, it isn't even a bad game. It seems a majority of those reviews are a bunch of butthurt PC fans.

The 3.3 score of Metacritic further proves my stance on people playing the games themselves and forming their own opinions. I'm sure many willl be detered by the falsified words of these "reviewers", the only reviewer I trust is myself.

It's within your right to ****** away $60 for a sloppy console port. More power to ya.

It's within your right to hate it. More power to you, as well. Alas, I'll be enjoying my copy of Dragon Age 2.

The reviews are complete crap, I can't stand to see complete lies posted all over like truth. The game, in no way, deserves less then a 7. If they give a game like Halo (Same ****, different year) a 9 or 10, this game should be a 12. /facepalm

Most reviewers are paid to be absolute ****es, especially to sequel games, I wouldn't think much of it.

And, wrong. Most reviewers these days are paid to give positive reviews. Otherwise gaming companies won't invite them to E3 or pay for their 5 star hotel rooms and fancy dinners anymore.

Evidently you've never actually met a lot of reviewers, have you? Snarky, egotisical things. Doesn't matter if it's food, gaming or movies. They usually turn out the same in a few years. Egotisical bastards unless you kiss their ass. Internet reviewers tend to be the same as well, minus the pay of course, hiding behind masks of annoymousy, I've met my fair share of them that think they're God.

I personally don't care what they say anyway, I play the game for me, not to confirm what they say, so it doesn't bug me what they say about DA2.

Thats right from the people who do this for a living. Not disgruntled fans who wanted something else.

I havent played the game yet so I reserve judgement

The Escapist gave it 100?!

Game is officially awesome!

Can't wait for Thursday!

In an ironic twist, you just summed up most of the fanbase defending Bioware. Protip: Everyone is an *sshole. However, that doesn't make them wrong.

Ironicly, scores work based on how you look at them.

I look at the scores as an normal distribution. On a 1-10 scale, 5 is the middle, therefore AVERAGE. Anything above is above average.

At this point, I'd give DA2 a 6... whish is rather average.

Given the history of EA games and the scores they get - especially bysome reviewers....Nah, not that far fetched at all.

So reviewers being bribed into giving a game good reviews is paranoid, but proclaiming that all the bad reviews are made by trolls out to systematically destroy Bioware isn't.

Right.

It is actually the Government tipping the reviewers. Anyone who insults Bioware can expect to have a knock at their door with men in black waiting to take them away to a secret government facility and brainwash them into loving bioware.

They might have bought 5 or 10 reviews but DA2 will have 50+ reviews in a week.

One of the comments in that vid said it best:
"No, this is what happens when games cost a ton to develop and there isn't enough room for risks. Bioware wants this game to reach COD-sales figures. To do that you have to please everyone and you cant have a game that caters to a specific audience, the RPG crowd, if you want to please everyone. Its not EAs fault. Its Bioware. Its not the same company as it was when Black Isle was close to them. Just let it go. Bioware has changed and they cant make a game like Baldurs Gate again."

The Golden Age is long gone. By now it's best to stop hoping for Bioware to make games of the same quality as they used to, and start looking for greener pastures.

hmmm I have checked out a few and they have all been pretty positive 7 was the lowest... ING, PC Gamer, CVG ect... I havn't gotten to play yet due to living in Australia and honest I dont expect to like it as much as Origins but I think it will be a decent game and still a lot better than most games released at the moment.

I ques same reason that why would anyone allow action RPG be revied by traditional RPG person and think they get right result?

And that PC gamer review was more or less penned by EA's marketing department. "Darker, sexier, better." Come on. I'd have more respect for it if it wasn't filled with meaningless buzzwords.

Origins’ free battlefield camera is gone, but a mousewheel scroll gives the zoom you need to see the full field of play.

... Not to mention outright lying. The zoom is nowhere near sufficient for a strategic view.

Organized campaigns to underscore a game for selfish reasons takes away the little credit that metacritic has. Not that giving too much score for "fanboyism" is good neither.

But these terror tactics wouldn't be allowed in civilized world. Certainly 4chan is quite dumbed down, streamlined and consolized so not a surprise in any case.
