I imagine by now everyone will be posting in main game discussion, but since i don't own the game, i cannot post there, plus i don't really know if this will help in the full version of DA2:unsure:
So i've been having this freezing issues in the demo while using dx11 on high, which is my highest setting that i can choose (dual core e7200oc to 3,5 - nvidia gtx260 - win7 32bit - 267.24) cause my card only supports dx10. I have no problems at all in dx9 (medium) but if i try high settings, all hell breaks loose. I literally cannot play for 15 seconds without experiencing a freeze that could last for about 15 seconds to nearly a minute... I tried all kinds of stuff- older drivers, graphics settings, sound settings (as well as updating realtek drivers) and- nothing worked.
So as it sometimes happens, i found what was causing the problem for me, by accident.
Somehow, i have closed EVGA precision- which is a program for overclocking/fan control of videocard. I did run the game with the program disabled, and have had no freezes at all. So i enabled it back, went into the game and it froze. I alt-tab from the game, disable evga prec. then go back to the game... no issues at all. The same happens with MSI Afterburner- if i have it working in the background, the game will freeze. As i disable the program, demo will run fine.
So if any of you use EVGA precision, or MSI afterburner, or POSSIBLY any other program for monitoring/overclocking like maybe rivatuner, everything which is showing your gpu clocks, like maybe gpu-z, DISABLE IT (check program manager for running processes) and try running the game.
I now have no freezes at all, as long as i keep those 2 programs disabled:D
As i said, i can't post in the main discussion so if anyone can post to disable those programs in either of these:

Maybe it woul help some ppl. I doubt many of them use those programs, but still- doesn't hurt to try.
