Honestly, I think it's still too early to tell. Right now, we're getting reactionary feedback. Over the next couple of weeks, this will change from gut-reaction hyperbole to people taking the time to give us more detail and specifics about what they liked and didn't like.

So for Stanley Woo the only reviews worth listening are the positive ones .
So all the feedback we're giving back now is useless ? Its just reaction ? A lot of people have made very good reviews and given their opinion in a very constructive matter . But they don't count ?
So you are just going to wait for all the bad comments to go away ? And then just take all the good ones ?
Not considering these comments , that you call "reactions" is very narrow minded !

Speeding through the game and then giving bad reviews and comments has little merit. Wait for people who gave the game time to review it and you'll get more constructive thoughts. Right now it seems most are bashing because it's the 'cool' thing to do. For every bad review or comment there are people enjoying the game as well, not commenting cause they are playing.

That's not what he said at all. Read that quote again.

hmm wouldent call over 80% average score "bad" people forget that alot of "bad" games score highly while alot of games others find fun are often underrated. On the other hand I dont think DA II will be as good as DA: O but we have known that for months....

I don't have the game yet, I'm in Aus so can't comment on my view of the game. However, I think it's more a case of will the amount of new players outweigh the amount of disgruntled DA:O fans? The people that come to the forums are only a miniscule sample of the player base and a lot of them are also biased because they are so in love with DA:O and this game is quite a change.
There is also rumour of /v/ trolling the forums and metacritic in large numbers.

A lot of this will settle down and they'll be able to see what is negative feedback and what is blatant trolling in a few weeks. Also they'll be able to see the initial sales figures and see how that stands too.
The rantings of a few disgruntled or trolling forum goers hides the genuine concern posts and also makes it hard for them to judge which is true disappointment in the game and what is a baseless attack.
Many games get this sort of response at release on forums, that's why they wait for the initial flaming to die down to see how it's really received by all the buyers rather than just the initial few that post.

Did you guys actually have to stoop that low and ask metacritic to remove bad reviews?
So much ego in you guys that you cant except bad reviews?

You guys turned this game into Consolization Age 2
-Unoptimized (WIth beta drivers)
-Lowres textures everywhere on random npc's and the environment
-Laughable dialogue ("I WANT TO BE A DRAGON") lolwut?
-Graphics that belong in 2005
-Kirkwall- main city, supposed to be packed, no more than 10 npc's on screen
-Bethany's fingers (LOLWTF)
-New mass effect wheel is supposed to be an improvement (I love you, Im hungry, Get out of here)
Sure is an improvement.
-Only from of "travel" is a map and clicking icons (There isnt even a real day/night cycle, you guys even made it seperate)

What if you guys didnt rush the game...
What if you guys actually had artists..

Oh and you might claim those user reviews were "inaccurate" and wanted to metacritic to take them down.
Then how about you take down your fake accounts Bioware blatently reviewing it 10/10.

No one from Bioware staff has given the community an honest answer why this game is so unpolished and riddled with bugs.

An opinion from an unbiased person, although inb4 Biodrones flame it all to hell.

This says it all . Nicely said Dopefish

Funny how reviewers tend to get more picky the longer the game has been out... Once the 'excitement' of having a new game wears off and play time is over, these people tend to have different opinions of what they though of it first.

These sites start their scores at 70, not at 0 like one would expect in a 0-100 score systems. And since they start at 70 you could say DA2 has an average of 10/30 and probably be closer to the true score.

Okay, even if DA2 isn't as good as DAO.. well that's just the way it is, tough luck (I understand that DAO is a game that is hard to match). DA2 is still not a bad game so don't be sad for we still appreciate the hard effort!!

Does it matter? DA2 already sold millions of times because of the preorder signature edition. And you cant sell a played copy on ebay because of the registration.

or rather because it's (officially) not allowed to sell M-rated stuff on ebay (at least ebay.de)

Now, if we could have plastic blonde women raging about new games not being like old games, we'd only ever need to visit one site.

Fantastic. With creative mathematics like that, you should go into accounting.

The fact they sent out very few review copies to sites/magazines and did not allow any reviews till release day should tell you how much confidence they had in their product. They just wanted to score as many sales as possible before the bad reviews started to come in.

This also. The embargo was up way to long to be it a really good game. You can see that they "feared" the reviews of this game.

Getting back to the OP tho - all Stanley Woo said was that feedback will be more constructive after everyone's had a couple of weeks with the game.

Less angry trolling and fanboy love. Seems sensible to me

Oh look he added that he's not biased and then called out anyone that would disagree with him. Wow he is amazing. Thanks for telling me about Bethany's fingers, I was able to cancel my pre-order in time...>.>

Anyone that thinks Bioware were not aware of how this game was going to be recieved by RPG fans ...is dumb.

They made a choice to appeal to the casual gamer and compiled the game accordingly.

Lets not decieve ourselves it will work in the short term...they will ship alot of units. But at what cost to the integrity of the developer. It will be very difficult to see them recover from this now.
