I finally got the "Black emporium" installed but never recieved the Mabari whistle. looked all over the emporium. Any clues?

Do you mean you installed the Black Emporium, and loaded an old save? Because the dog is with you from the start of the game, if it's installed. It's actually the family's dog, not something you buy IN the Emporium.

I have the same problem. I installed the black emporium and started a new game but no dog

There is a dog in my house but we were supposed to receive a whistle to summon a mabari to battle. I haven't received such whistle or option in battle.

Summon Mabari is not an item, it is an ability. Check your character's ability screen. It should be in the lower right corner.

There's no whistle or any sort of dog-summoning item. When you open the Special Deliveries chest in Hawke's house, s/he will automatically gain the ability to summon the dog. It's a single ability in its own tree on the ability page, just drag it to your quickbar.

Wow, thanks alot. I found it. You know it could throw people off to say they get a whistle when you actually just gain a ability. They should change that in the DLC item description lol

So I'm now in-game, and I can't find it in my character's ability screen. I have the Black Emporium enabled, so I'm not sure what's wrong.
