Can we have an actual full body, (or at least upper body) picture of the elves? While the first is indeed horrible I would really like to see how they look overall.

Good point. Maric's elf fetish is even creepier if they look like this.

I'm just telling myself that the Free Marches elves have some kind of weird genetic quirk that makes them look like this. Maybe it's something in the water, because Marethari's clan looked normal when they were in Ferelden.

It's not really anything to do with them being elves or not. There were loads of NPCs with faces just that bad in DA:O.

That's why "Dragon Age Redesigned" is such a popular mod. I hope the author finds a way to make Dragon Age 2 Redesigned, because the auto-generated faces always seem to look like deformed transvestites.

Ah I see now... Well thats not so bad. The face looks a little wierd at angles, being flat and all, and the nose can use some work. But now my fears are allieviated.

Keep in mind that the people posting pics of DA2 elves to this thread are picking the most extreme examples, and that it's as bad as they make it look.

The Origin elves looked so much better. The look of these elves is not an improvement. They look sick and malnourished. Hell they don't even look like elves to me anymore.

That... "thing" that Marionetten posted is fugly. The one Hellosanta posted on the last page isn't that bad.
The main problem is just the fact that the lore in DAO always said that elves are considered attractive by human standard. Now they aren't that attractive anymore. Meh... I can live with that.

I am 7 hours into the game (round about), and YES. The elves do look really bad. Merrill included. The Quanari, however, looks great.

Its not so much the body proportions but the taking a hammer to the facial features that I think is the more disturbing part.

Hopefully there will be a mod fairly soon to correct this 're-imagining' of the elves for those of us who really detest it
