When I played Origins as well as Awakening...I played mainly as a Rogue...and my game strategy was always centered around switching constantly between Ranged ( bow ) and Melee ( dual-wielding )...which was made easy by being able to quickly switch between the two.  
Unfortunately, as far as I can tell...that option is not available on this game.  You have to open up the Inventory screen, switch weapons, etc.  although, it does pause the game so youre not getting hammered while youre doing the weapon switch...but it isnt a smooth transition...unless Ive missed something...

Or have I missed something?  Is there a way to quick-switch between Ranged and Melee weapons?

There is no longer a quick-switch icon or command on the radial menu.
