I hope I'm just making a lame, embarrassing mistake. I have 3 characters available to join my party besides me (and summoning my dog). But when I try to gather my party, I can choose 2 members besides myself and while there is a slot and an option for a third member to join ( I see her standing there looking ready to go!) no matter what button or stick I push, I can NOT choose them.  I am always told when I press the finish button (x button) that my party is incomplete.

If I don't choose the two members that I can reach (Sis & Varric), or I choose only one o them it still makes no difference to my attempts to get that 3rd member. No matter what I do I can *only* select my Sis and Varric to be in my party.

Am I missing something, is there more progress I'm suppose to make in the story (been in Kirkwall a year), or is this as I suspect a really awful glitch? I have the Signature edition of this game. And if this is a glitch is there anything to be done to fix it on my end?
