All right, I am on the quest about the Qunari black powder right after I let Jevaric go and ran back to town to see that the "elf" has left the poison gas in barrels in low town.

They lock me in the area with the poison barrels and I have to close them with levers that I find on the ground. Its all going fine and I close 2 of the barrels, but then after that the entire area is empty. I cant get out, there are no more levers anywhere, and it wont let me close the remaining 2 barrels without them. I am completely stuck.

Has anyone gotten this far and been stuck? How did you resolve this issue? Please help, i cant play it anymore because of this.

So I guess no one else knows how to counter this problem or simply hasnt gotten this far yet? I would really appreciate some help. I havnt been able to play the game since.

If anyone can remember how they got through this area it would be a great help to explain it to me.

I don't know if you still need help, but I got stuck here too. The hidden stoppers are just hard to find. I ran around pausing a bunch because I was afraid that I would die if I took too long to look for them. When I slowed down and wandered deliberately, I found the final one. The one that took me the longest to find was right next to the big square pit (on the south(?) side).

I've been having this problem for the last 40 minutes or so. Sadclown, mind being more specific? I'm so done with this little area.

I will try to be more specific. My memory of where I found each of the lever things is a little vague. There are the stairs that lead up to the locked door. As you go down the stairs there is a square pit thing with a fence around it. I found the last lever near the fence just to the right of you as you go down the stairs. I don't know, however, if the levers are dropped in a specific order though, so you could be looking for a different lever. It's closer to the side of the fence that has the stairs than to the side that has the two barrels on it.

Other than that, I found one of the levers right next to the first barrel that is in your line of sight as you go down the stairs. I can't really remember where I found the second one other than down the side alley part.

Edit: After talking to my brother, we think that the switches drop randomly from the enemies, so my earlier description is probably useless.

I walked around pausing then hitting the 'tab' key to highlight interactive items. The levers seem to be dropped randomly, so maybe you need to walk into a new part of the ally to trigger the spawn of some new bad guys who will drop the levers.

i have been running around this little zone for about 30 minutes, this has to be a bug that they ahvent spawned yet

if they do drop from enemies. why did the enemies stop spawning!!

They're probably all lying on the ground. They drop directly onto the ground as small silvery items that are hard to see through the gas, not as items you loot from corpses/remains.

There is an item that allows you to close the barrels (I forget what it's called) - it appears on the floor after you kill enough enemies.

After you kill all of the enemies the spawns stop until you close the next barrel - so delaying from closing them straight away can allow you to recharge your mana, heal allies, etc.

The drops that close them can be hard to find, but definitely are there.

ok so i re did the whole scenario, the pieces only appear if you close the barrels one at a time, as it spawns a wave of bad guys and it drops of one of the last of them.

if you close two barrels before the combat is over you only get one piece
