You know the way the ending said no one could find hawke or the hero of the first one.....it seems to be heading in the direction of knights of the old republic 2s ending where the hero from the first game was deep in space where nobody knew where he was and the hero from the second game was going deep in to space to catch up with him and fight a great evil
The ending is dire. (No spoilers)

Well the game took me 40 hours on normal and I did nearly every side quest (might have missed a couple) Its easily long enough if you do everything. To complete in 12 hours he must have just gone through main quests you cant do everything in that time.
