I'm experiencing a significant amount of audio clipping/choppiness with the PS3 version of DA2. *Every* time Hawke speaks I hear the first word, wait 3-4 seconds while the animation continues without sound, followed by the audio playing from where it had "paused".

I noticed this problem with the demo but attributed it to the "old build".

This may seem like a minor bug to others, but it really kills the immersiveness/rpg aspect of the game for me.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solves that come to mind or are we reliant on a patch?

Thanks!

I should add that this is with the Signature Edition on the original PS3 40GB (HD upgraded a month ago to 500GB).

Bump in hopes someone else is experiencing this (and/or Bioware is aware there's an issue that needs to be addressed). Thx.

also somewhat related, is i just got weird crackling noises after a battle in lowtown. tried turning the game's sounds off 1 type at a time, it seemed to be the music. a restart of the game fixed it, but its still a glitch.

signature edition, ps3 slim.

I've ben getting that issue too, I think the issue is with the 1st generation ps3s (I have the 40 gb too). Does the danae thing on some other games like CoD: World at War. Unable to determine a solution for this other than rebooting.

Its not just the 1st gens, I have an 80gb and several times a conversation or cutscene would desync slightly because the audio was too slow to load. Thankfully the problem usually corrects itself by the second or third line, but i've had to turn subtitles on just in case.

Well, that and the rare occasion (happened twice so far) that the audio cuts out ENTIRELY. Have to quit/restart the game to fix that (no need to reboot the system though). :(

I also had a few (maybe three or four) times where the characters lips stopped moving for most of a cutscene. :P

Had just one problem battling Ogre for second time while travelling to Kirkwall, audio cut out and became completely garbled and stuttering. Rebooted game fixed problems, just finished Act 1, no further problems. (upgraded 40Gb Ps3)
