I still bet on CPU Recomanded requirement is gonna be Quad Core, since all the new bigger and greater games coming out uses that these days.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Please Bioware, don't make me play ME3 on an xbox.

Sigh.

You do realize your PC is likely already more powerful than the Xbox by a large margin, yes? If you ran ME2 fine, you'll run ME3 fine.

They are still ultimately constrained by the (immense) limitations of the hardware in the Xbox & PS3.. both of which are now equivalent to a very low end gaming PC.

Also... Unreal 3.5 (what ME2 /3 are built on) is not CPU intensive AT ALL... they require very little CPU power and rely primarily on the video card (GPU). A core 2 duo 2.0ghz is in fact more than enough to handle ME2 (and by that extension ME3).

Any improvements they make to ME3 will, if anything, require a better GPU, not CPU (if your GPU is very old).

That said, they can't push the technical limits of ME3 since the Xbox & PS3 are already a bottleneck in this regard.

If my Pentium 4 3,2 Ghz can run ME2 fine, it can run ME3 too just fine

I used to have an GTX 260 GPU but after such new games coming out in the next few weeks (''Poke Poke The Witcher 2'') i upgraded to GTX 560 TI and that upgrade has beeing worth the cash. No complains so far. So if they will make a higher GPU Recommanded Requirement, i should be good without concerns:)

bioware doesn't seem to terribly concerned with graphics as much as gameplay and storyline. i mean ME2 was a SLIGHT upgrade from the graphics in ME1, I hardly noticed it. I doubt they will step it up much visually

i think there will be a small jump (like ME1->ME2) but if u can play me 2 max atm... u can probably do it in ME3 too. at least from what the game play vids have showed so far, it has the same engine version as ME2. They will probably just max out the potential of that version tho.

Well, if everything goes fine for me, I'll be having a new rig (Quadcore i5 2500K+8Gig+GTX570 on 24" 1920x1080), so the requirements wouldn't be a big problem. However, both in case things are NOT going as prefered and for the sake of other people not having that PCs, I hope the minimum requirements won't be (much) higher than those of ME2.

I'd rather have a decent game with a lot of space to go better than a good game with little tolerance to get below.

My PC currently runs ME2 at near max settings. It should probably be able to run ME3 at at least mid-range settings. That said, it is an XP box that doesnt have the associated bloat and drag on performance that Vista/Win7 has, and I'm experienced at fnie tuning a rig.

I know, but I still get 45-50 fps during gameplay, occasional drop to about 35 if I light up the screen with the Cain.
I will be upgrading next year, but not until June, so I can make the most of "end of financial year" deals.

I would say yes. It plays on my 2008 macbook pro (win 7 bootcamped) with a 512 Nvidia 9600. There is some frame loss in some of the big firefights, but I have all the settings maxed. Good luck, it's a great game.
