Tried to reply to one of the existing threads but the forum wouldn't let me. Game freezes like every 5-10 minutes. Only just started the game though so I haven't had more than 30 minutes to spend on it. I'm going to experiment whether the different settings like HIres textures or vsync or whatever have something to do with it, as they have had in the past.
Detailed description: The game freezes, takes about 20 seconds, and then jumps to the desktop saying the exe crashed.

Ah no need. Simply reverting to DX9 fixed the problem it seems. It's been stable for over half an hour now. Well beyond the few minutes of before. Just that the graphics did get notably uglier. It'll get fixed or debugged soon enough I'm sure, until then all I want to do is to play the game.
