I have been trying to help Sebastion with his mercenary revenge, but although I appear to have killed all the mercs at the docks, it still shows the plot marker and won't check off the quest. Am I missing some sort of hidden den? I killed the guys in the ally by the locked chest and the Disused Passage but the marker remains...

I went to the docks prior to clearing the the other two locales, is that what happened to you, as well?

i was able to kill the mercs with no problems. not pretty sure how i did it but i got those done.
anyway, if i remember, i went around the docks during the day first then switched it to night when i was at the lower "area exit" location.. then i moved up then west killing the mercs that would spawn.. then i used the disused passage finishing everything there (i think there's another quest point down there) then when i exited the other side of the passage, there were mercs there.. killed them and apparently that was it for the docks..
then i went to the other location (before sundermount) made sure i went over the whole map
after that went to sundermount and killed the mercs by the first bend of the area.
apparently i finished the "duty" quest and i was able to talk with bastian in the chantry. hope that helps
