So to the question, does she -actually- fall for hawke? Proper love? Or is she just the same tease all throughout the game and just have a little special fondness for Hawke?

She even moves in with Hawke if you want.

Pretty much everyone betrays you in The Fade. Even Merill.

Also you gain some bad rep with her. I took both of my love interests into the fade with me. They both betrayed me so I had to enter the fade with a new party of companions, one who I didn't care what they thought of me. If you bring Anders into the fade, he won't betray you.
Actually I like the cute blood mage (whos a cute blood mage, yes she is!) and asked her to move in with me. I don't really see why I would stay with Isabela after all those men had their hands on her, she is good for casual sex though with my PC
Perhaps Bioware was trying create a Morrgian with her, bold, blunt and just went over it a bit too much

Anders doesn't, granted when you enter the Fade, it's justice.

There are women as premisicous as Isabela in real life. And they still have relationships beyond just sex. If your uncomfortable about a women that has lots of sex and isn't ashamed about it than Isabela is SO not for you.

Quick Question for you guys. I know towards the end of act 2 Isabella could leave the party for good unless you have enough rep. I looked on Dragon Age wikki and it sounded like if you romance her she will come back. Anyone know if that is true? The second part of that is this, is it difficult to romance her or is she pretty easy..lol
I slept with her, didn't romance her, since I was Fem Hawke. She came back, but she started the whole mess so I gave her to the Qunari... She should of left lol.

Yeah, Isabela can love Hawke. But she won't adore Hawke like Merrill, obsess about her like Anders, or dump her like Fenris.
I have not played her romance myself, but from watching the youtube videos I was actually under impression that if Hawke doesn't treat their time together as harmless fun, Isabella does the same abiguous walk-out as Fenris and their relationship status isn't resolved for the next 3 years untill the next act.
Is there anything before that?

As some people do IRL, Isabela is using her casual nature and ostentatious sexuality as a shield. Having almost never had deep relationships, and fearing the restrictions of commitment, she avoids her feelings and the moral dimensions of her experiences. When everything is a game, and nowhere is a destination, a person can rightly claim to enjoy great freedom, as Isabela does. Of course, ultimately it turns into a bittersweet lifestyle, as no amount of shallow interactions can provide deep meaning.
Hawke can challenge this, and offer her a sense of meaning and permanence. I like this about her romance, because she doesn't want hopeless dependence to infect it. Rather, slowly, she appreciates the trust and strength of interdependence. She's similar to Morrigan in that way, although certainly much easier to convince.
So yes, I think Isabela can truly love Hawke, but it is a slow process. Physical and emotional intimacy work on different timelines, as she demonstrates.

I was really disappointed to hear she gets away from the Qunari anyway even after you hand her to them. So much for critical game/plot choices meaning something.Sinvx wrote...
She stole something from me... Then came back, so I sold her off to the Qunari to be violated repeatedly. So my guess is, if she was willing to come back, she can fall for you.

I'm not really that fond of Isabela's demeanor regarding flirting with everyone and sexing up all the men she finds, basically. I mean, the first thing she does, more or less, is inviting you for some 'company'.

Yes. You can get a Meaningful Dialog quest with her where she says that Hawke is one of the few people she genuinely likes and respects. She is even willing to have a 3 way relationship with Hawke and Merrill if you decide to marry Merrill. The epiphany moment is the end of act 2. She will always run off with the book but if her friendship is high enough, she will return and unless you really screw it up, she becomes a loyal lasting friend with benefits for the rest of the game. However do not expect any more bed scenes. The quota is one per character per game.

Yes but if you do give her up to the Qunari I don't think she comes back to you does she? I've never explored this as I've needed her for her quest in Act 3 for the Ambrosia. Which you can only get by doing her quest.

She doesn't come back as far as I know(never actually followed through with that option since I needed her in party for gameplay reasons) but apparently she escapes the Qunari before the ship even reaches Par Vollen/Seheron/wherever and to add insult to injury, she escapes with the Tome.Redneck1st wrote...

I haven't done the Fenris romance but I thought Fenris indicates later that nothing has happened since that night and other companions reference him breaking up with Hawke.
It's not as simple. Just like with Isa, he walks out for his own reasons, but there is an idication that feelings linger, as referenced by the companions. Merril outright comments that he's in love and watching Hawke when she turns away, even after the walking out part. Then he also rebuffs Isabella's flirts (flirts along and even has a casual relationship with her if not in romance, and Isa isn't either), and then there is banter between him and Anders where speaks that walking away was hardest thing he ever done. His apology in act 3 has him admitting that the night was meaningful to him and he wished he apologized sooner, and told Hawke of his feelings.
------
I'm curious what companions say on Isabella's front after she walks away, though. She looked very torn up about leaving in the cutscene in act II. Does anyone pick up on her inner conflict?

I get the impression that both Isa and Fenris need more time/space to work through their inner demons before they commit to actual relationship, let alone share the living arrangements, whereas Anders and Merril are more free and open with their affection.
