Whenever Wynne talks about how long she has left. It makes me truly, truly sad. Also Loghain's line about daughters staying six years old. When I heard that I made Alistair kill him because I refused to have his blood on my hands.

Morrigan at the end if you do the ritual with her and persue a romance, when she tells you she loves you afterwards, thats pretty touching. And even when you don't romance her and she talks about friendship, especially if its your second time around and you get the foreshadowing. It was very emotional.

When did that happen, if you get him to marry Anora but convince him to keep a relationship with you?  There are so different scenarios.

How's the French voice acting anyway?  And out of curiosity what'd he say in French, I can read it pretty well.

Both the point where you save both the Dalish and the werewolves and then again when Alistair was saying my eulogy got to me.

Close to what my dad always told me .. and what he said at my wedding.  To parents, children never grow up and are always "their little boy/girl".  Oh dear, reading that line made me cry ... :crying:

And this is making me hate Alistair more. I have been called heartless by many, but I cant bring myself to kill Loghain Posted Image

I'd have to say the entire romance sequence with Leiliana. The writing and acting really made it flow well, and I felt a real connection with the character and he values and hardships. Her past misdeeds and profession made her a very real character, someone to relate to, so her as a whole effected me the most.

I think the end of Duncan was very touching. Very movie-like. My heart aches for anyone who dies in combat though, I am not sure what it is, I was probably a soldier in my former life or something. But it touches me a lot. There's honor there.

I felt like total poo after killing him, not gonna lie.  Even after all the crap he did.

Alistair is probably my favorite "companion" character in the game, but his whole behavior about that situation was just...not cool.  It just seemed so brutal to lop his head off so the blood splatters all over his daughter's face right after he said that.

:crying:  BRB, calling father...

I like Alistair i really do... but I just don't feel like I can take him places... he is always demanding mean things being done... kill this blood mage, apostates are bad, murder the bad guy... sometimes I just have to make him take a time out in camp for awhile

The romance between my character and Alistair. The voice actor for Alistair really put his soul into it. Shame it didn't play such a big part in the end. Not even a good bye kiss. :(
When Leliana sings. That was beautiful. I still listen to it, from time to time. Usually listen to it once before I go to bed, it's that good :)

Sorry I missed this, when does Leilana sing?

When you save both the werewolves and the elves I think.

She sings after 'what happened to the elves'

I betrayed my people and sided with the werewolves... and she sang..:D

Ooh, Alistair at the Landsmeet was probably the most annoying part of the game for me. After something like two years following me while I unite half the world behind the Grey Wardens, he decides to throw a hissy fit and defy my judgement. I wanted a "Grow up, Alistair" dialogue option.

Anyway, on topic, Leliana's song and the "You be a good boy" line are high on my list. The first was beautiful, and the second choked me up. Morrigan telling you just how much your friendship means to her, at the end battle, is pretty touching too.

For me it was probably the curing of the werewolves, dunno what it is about that scene but there was something about it ending in the redemption of everyone in a game that normally has bittersweet victories. I really wish there was a way to follow the stories of the transformed humans afterward, I think it'd be pretty interesting.

Loghain's death speech, the dialogue with Morrigan as a romance in Redcliffe, and talking to all the companions before the final battle were pretty cool moments I thought too. I liked the female dwarf noble saying goodbye to Gorim her last night before heading into the Deep Roads.

I have to go with turning down Alistair and Zevran...

They really looked disappointed and I really felt like crap. At the very end I chose that I'd go travelling with the intent of bringing Leliana with me and Zevran went and asked if he could come along... Oh man... I felt so horrible telling him no...

My whole playthrough I just felt terrible for Alistair and Zevran because I could tell they really liked me but I just wasn't into them...

And I really felt like I had completely used Alistair at the end... I think he could tell, but, he didn't call me out on it.. Posted Image

From what I've heard there is a "Grow up, Alistair" dialogue option.  You just have to use it after his personal quest and apparently he takes things more seriously.  I haven't tried it yet though :P

(I didn't find anything along this line in the forums, if there is such a thread, sorry for the double posting.)

There were quite a few of those, though I believe everyone got a feeling for a different type of pull in the game. I do play the game rather thorough and I have been sad and entertained, though it took over 50% exploration of the gameworld to the moment that touched me the most.

The point where the werewolf dalish wife gives me the scarf and begs my character to put her out of misery and tell her husband she is dead so he is at ease. I wasn't able to loot the poor body. If I had a chance I would have made a tomb for her. That got me badly.

And the way Alister is presenting the rose. Not the way he gave it to my char, but most why he picked it. The marvel of nature producing something admirable and beautiful even amidst chaos and misery.

And let us not forget Wynne's son. That was the moment that made me really wish I could have an option of talking with Wynne and find the son to see what he grew into.

How about you?

I kind of fell in love with morrigan a little. I was genuinly twisted and hurt at the end. I lived, because she asked me to. But I also vowed to search for her. and I will find her, even if I have to make the module myself!

I've always been a huge Loghain fan, well atleast since The Stolen Throne came out, and just, his whole story I thought was moving, colmenating at the end, if you get the landsmeet to all side with you. Loghain just gets so furious, he is practically foaming at the mouth rambling because he knows it's over.

Such a great man reduced to a rambling paranoia fueled hateful rant. And then afterwards, after everything that happens and despite all his delusions (no doubt some fueled by Arl Howe), he tells Anora before I let Alistair kill him, "Hush now, Anora, I can go face the Maker in peace, knowing Fereldan is in your (the Grey Warden) hands." and then his final comment on how "Daughters never grow up, they stay six years old with pigtails and skinned knees forever" before he dies.

I don't know, the way he comes to peace with it all right at the end kind of struck me, I really wish Alistair could be talked down and not throw his little temper tantrum. (My first playthrough I had spared Loghain, this time I wanted to see his death scene). I was glad Loghain had one final moment of clarity from his delusional paranioa (with his "fereldan in your hands" comment) before he died.

Also, the way Howe spits " Maker take you, I deserved more" as he dies, just struck me as perfect.

DapperDan was, for all intents and purposes, a good character and morally upstanding.

But that section, with that man, he had a fury and lust for blood and vengeance that could not be quelled. Howe got off easy; given the choice, DapperDan would have twisted the knife (or in his case, very large two-handed maul) until things got very unpleasant and awkward for everyone around him.

I think that was my only real letdown in my first playthrough; I never really got a chance to really let that part of my character's personal turmoil show in at Howe's death. It was definitely not perfect.

The scene after the Landsmeet where you see all the armies you've gathered march off to war.

The voice of Eamonn, the music, it was all perfect. The scene that really struck me was that father saying goodbye to his children in Redcliffe.

Someone commented in another thread (and please take credit, cause it was an amazing point) that it actually simulates real revenge quite well.  The emptyness still remains, there is no real weight or releif off your shoulders, theres just another dead body.
