Suddenley I was hearing this story about a Dwarf and his wife adopting a Lyrium addled Dwarf he found in the Deep Roads. It was strangely touching to hear such a heartwarming tale of kindness after all that death, despair, and idiocy.

-The moment in the gauntlet where I ran into Tirion, and he tells me I need to leave the pass behind.
-The decision to kill Loghain. As a practical matter, I wanted Loghain to stay alive--and say him becoming Warden as poetic justice. But I couldn't say no to Alistair. (I did kill Loghain myself, though, because I was thinking of getting Alistair and Anora married, and I figured it would be awkward if he was the one to do it.) Alistair's fervent belief in the Wardens made me believe that it was being a Warden was something good and noble, and not just a necessity.
-In fact, Loghain's whole 'last stand' in front the Landsmeet was poignant. He was a hero of the last war, but after the war with Orlais he made some bad decisions, maybe let his pride get the better of him. Having made a few expedient decisions in the game myself (preserving the Anvil, for one) I found it a little harder to judge him then if I had been pure goody-goody. A recurring theme in DAO is that heroes often become corrupted (Sten even lays it out in the epilogue), and Loghain is one of the biggest in-game examples. (Branka is the other, though more extreme..."I *am* your Paragon"...)
-Zevran's unexpected compassion for the elves of the alienage being sold into slavery. It was a little surprising to me to see such an 'evil'/amoral character react so strongly to anyone's plight.
i felt the same way about Loghain i wanted to make him to live but after seeing Alistair's rage at even suggesting having him become a Warden touched me, Duncan was like a father to him and Cailan was his half brother after all i just could nt betray him (was also romancing him ) so i gladly killed Loghain since he was to marry Anora (i dont know if it changes anything if he was hardened or not mine was)

It makes you swear that you will be what they want you to be, no matter what. Brilliant writing and acting in all the starting stories.
Also sad was where you start off as a royal princess in the dwarven side and finally see your second who, in my play through, you were romantically involved with. Here he is married crippled and happy with a child on the way. Much left unsaid there, but just one more reason why you cant go back.
I didnt like killing flemeth either, it didnt sit well with me, but when you take the grimoire and dont kill her, you get negative remarks by your party. :/ oh well.

I was really touched and mostly saddened when I had to kill my first friend Tamril (or something close like that) (as I was playing a Rogue Dalish Elf). When he appeared in Camp one evening after a small camp invasion by the Darkspawn and he ran from me and begged that I release him from the pain of the Taint. I was more then overwhelmed that I needed to end his suffering. he looked so bad and Gaunt that I had no choice! Somehow part of me was hoping that one day I would rescue him form his demise. That was unfortunately not the case in this game.
Also, funny as it may be, the cut scene just as you are leaving Redcliffe Castle heading to Denerim when the young boy and his mother look at their father who is heading to war with all the soldiers. I found that to be a truly emotional part of the game.
And of course the ending, it was all I had not to want to not hit the Main Doors and exit the Main Celebration Hall.....I just did not want it to end!

Zathrian's speech about his history and himself in scene where he ends the curse plus werewolves holding leaving them Lady of the Forest.
Yes, that scene got me as well, My eyes actually misted up as well.
And then Leliana singing... something beautiful amidst all the darkness. (Note: I am not complaining about the game being too dark, I think it's great as is)

Yeah it was beatiful but it looked like she was playbacking and not the good kind.

Yeah, I tried to ignore the terrible lip synching and enjoy the song itself (And the party member's reactions - Alistair's rapt attention, Sten looking pensive, Morrigan shaking her head, etc)

I liked Sten's reaction most. Because we all know he is a softie. The way his eyes darken was really nice. I generally love the way everyone in the party watches the one who speaks. Often when they dislike what they hear they cross their arms. There was one moment someone chided the grey wardens and Alistair and my char simultaneously crossed their arms and did a scolding face. I could practically hear them tapping their feet to go with the expression.
Sten's was the one that got me the most, though Brandel (my Mabari), lying down slowly, watching Leliana all the while was cute as well.

Loghain's last line to Anora before I whacked his head off... "Daughters never grow up. They remain 6 years old with pigtails and skinned knees forever." or something like that. I dunno, it just got me.
This. I had a really hard time siding with Alistair after this. I was like hell, I didn't even know any of those Grey Wardens, and duncan basically gave me an ultimatum of join or die, so he wasn't my biggest hero.
That and the moment before your last battle in Denerim. That speech from Alistair got me so friggen pumped up.

"It was an honor to fight with you."
"The honor was mine."
"Sodding honor all around, then!"
And Alistair's speech before the final battle, too. Totally justified me keeping him around instead of Loghain...do I want to go into the last battle with the guy who has spent most of the game trying to kill me, or the first NPC I saw who I knew wasn't going to die? =)

... and see Riordan plummet to his death.
And I can see the look in my character's eyes as she realises either her or Alistair will have to die...
(of course, it turned out Morrigan's ritual worked. But I did wonder if she'd backstabbed me)

Also, my happy ending with a hint of bitterness, where I marry Queen Anora, and Morrigan, whom I had broken with according to her wishes calls me "my love" before running off into the wilds with our archdemon baby.

Alistair saying to my mage : "I know we're cursed and can't have children but I don't care, i can live without it and without mariage, just only the two of us. I just love you so much..."
That was something like that, sorry my game is in french :\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
When did that happen, if you get him to marry Anora but convince him to keep a relationship with you? There are so different scenarios.
How's the French voice acting anyway? And out of curiosity what'd he say in French, I can read it pretty well.
You can ask him this question after he asked you to go to bed with him and tell him that your story can't g on, he will declare that.
About the voice in renchn strangely, I prefer his voice in french because he doesn't have hat tone in his voice who let youthink he is from a rich family. English voice of Alistair reminded about Chase voice in Dotor house O_o
In french, his voice sound clumsy but very honest.

you weren't able to loot her body? I found that scene kinda touching and sad too, but I was able to loot her body afterwards, lol, actually looted her pelt, felt kinda bad about that..Lianaar wrote...
The point where the werewolf dalish wife gives me the scarf and begs my character to put her out of misery and tell her husband she is dead so he is at ease. I wasn't able to loot the poor body. If I had a chance I would have made a tomb for her. That got me badly.
anyway, yeah Alistair romance is the most touching, probably the rose most of all.

I just hope that she doesn't turn back into an elf posthumously. That . . . could raise some questions with the merchant.
