Talking with Leliana and asking her about her visions has a chance to lead you to talk about why she believed her dream to be a vision. Because the morning she went out into the garden where she usually was sitting and there was a dead rose bush. Dry and twisted, all knew it already passed away. But on that morning it had a single red rose blooming on it. She took it as a sign.

It was touching to know that was the rose Alistair was not able to leave behind to be tainted by the darkspawn.

Howe's death had a very serious emtional impact for me, but that was mostly because of what I was unable to do: take him alive.

Braedon (Male Human Noble, Rogue) knew full well that Howe wanted status, and that just KILLING him would actually hurt less than taking that status way from him.  Hell, the writers obviously knew it perfectlly well!  Howe says it: "If you think you can take this from me, you are sadly mistaken!"

Oooh I wanted that man dead all right.  But only AFTER I declared him a traitor, had him stripped of his lands and titles and listend to him rage in impotent fury.  Especially after that line about my brother "Antivan ****" and what he did to my nephew's corpse!  I wanted him to pay in a manner that would actually make him suffer.

Maker's breath I hated that man.  HATED him.

I enjoyed every damn minute of it too, right up until I couldn't even try to take him alive.  He simply...died.  ARRRGH!!!

Btw!  Tim Curry is awesome.  Obvious, perhaps, but it needs to be said.

Hmm i have to honestly try and remember mine.

the best two i know of was off my last play through when i did the ultimate sacrifice.

1. Before you try and slay the archdemon alistair stops you and begs you to let him do it that as king it is better for him to do it. I chose not to let him do it out of him being the king and him having the responsibility of ruling the nation.

2. The ending right after that. Very moving and its much better since i did take my time and romance Leliana and it added to the tragic nature to it. The best ending you can possibley get. Now all you guys saying keeping yourselves alive and knocking up morrigan i saw that something wasn't right about that and did not do the ritual. so eh

the ones after that aren't close but are still good

3. Leliana's Song

4. Zathrian ending the curse by killing himself and the Lady of the wood.

5. Ogherens ending through the first two.

I have several touching scenes I like to remember :)
Sten:
The speech of Sten as he got his sword back from me :D also the part where he starts calling my character Kadan. Dunno why, but I really really like Sten. He reminds me a little of T'alk from Star Gate.
Shayle:
It's not exactly touching if you are a soft creature, but to me when Shale (Shayle) admittet that she really likes me but wants me to be quiet about it - it was somehow touching and sweet. I so do adore her and her hate for flying poop-rats.
Also the part where she tells me that she runs off with Wynne to become a squishy dwarf.
The most creepy and saddening part was when I was looking for the Anvil and Branka :-(
Not exactly touching, too - but it really was turning my guts to knots. To me this was very emotional and cruel.
There was the former lover of Branka, who talks to you in verses - what the darkspawn has done to their victims, what became of the females. The rape, canibalism, the change/mutation and everything...
I was really dreading what I actually would have to face...

As a female noble PC, when she meets her father again at the Gauntlet.
I almost cry.

Oghren at the final battle, "Today I will be the warrior you taught me to be."
He is one brave warrior when my PC first meet him.

Zevran, when he refuses to go in my female elf mage's tent after he confess his love to the PC.
Poor man is sooo confuse.

Alistair kills the archdemon, and I refuse Morrigan's deal.
I did cried this time.

I've been gaming for years. More than half my life now, and honestly I thought I had seen it all, become densitized to simulated violence and suffering, but Loghain's comment about daughters always being six years old in pig-tails and skinned knees was the first time I've ever wept Manly Tears.

Leliana's song.

This, especially when Morrigain shake her head.

I would add the salutation with Morrigain before the final battles.

I thought this was very touching too and I thought Alistair was pretty heartless for chopping of his head in front of her like that, spurting blood on her even.

This was my hardest Alistair moment, I didn't mind him sleeping with Morigan too much but seeing him all vengeful and cold like that made me almost fall out of love with him.

Mine would be the relationship with Morrigan. I actually was a bit sad when she said she'd be leaving after the Archdemon is slain. All the dialogue options I had thereafter I said I would find her.

And I will... :)

Weird isn't it?I want to find her too.I think LOTS of people want to find her.Never known any game character that had such an impact on people. Most of them are:Mm,okay, but you never wanted to know what happens after the game-ending.But with Morrigan you are bloody curious about what she up to...Posted Image

Putting Bhelen on the throne as a Dwarven noble was quite.....'touching', i suppose you could call it that. Other than that, Shale referring to 'it' as 'you' was also touching.

True. A remarkable character. Although I'm not so sure my character will get to see her again.. anymore.

Not sure touching is the right word but..

Isolde taking the life of her own son was so well done. I actually felt sorry for her.

So far the most touching moment for me was during my mages epilogue. When it said Oghren sobered up married and had a kid. And that he wept when he held it and named it after a good friend who changed his life. Chokes me up just thinking about it.

Ah, I see this is a popular one. :)

Yeah, the only thing that bugged me about Zahtrian was every time he spoke all I could hear was Tuvok from Star Trek Voyager....

I don't think anyone mentioned this, but the very simple story about the stars that Leliana gives. I truly will never look at the stars the same again :-)

Speaking of which, why didn't Fergus' wife have an Antivan accent?

A lot of the scenes mentioned had emotional impact for me, but one section of the game I did not see mentioned (or course it may have been, could have missed it) was Sten's blurb during the sacrifice epilogue. I loved the line that told of Sten goin back to his homeland, and when being asked if during his travels he met anyone worthwhile (or something like that) he responded: Only one. That line got to me.

Leliana's song was really the only thing that touched me.

Well... no, that's not true. There was far more touching going on, but I don't think you mean that touching.
