Touching moments of Dragon Age

1. The scene at the start of the Final Battle, where your PC just charged into Denerim and you're about to head into the city. As you start to run in, your path is lined with human soldiers cheering you on. I don't know why, but something about that scene gives me goosebumps every time. It's got a very "**** YEAH!!" feel to it.
2. The self-sacrifice ending. It was hard to not get misty-eyed watching that one.
3. The story about the first female Orlesian knight (can't remember her name). You could make that story into a movie and I guarantee it'd be the saddest movie you ever saw.

Also, strangely? The plight of the Dwarven guy, who got entombed in that big Golem, can't remember the name, I sided with him and destroyed the anvil. I wanted to yell out, No,don't! As he simply let himself fall into the lava below.
Another would have to be the end to the confrontation between the werewolf spirit chick thing, and the Elf dude who created the whole curse.
The way you get to play dumb with Leliana, is also pretty cute and comical, especially her comments in return, it made the whole relationship bit, that much more endearing and heartfelt.

The whole end to the Cousland beginning. The shock when Iona died in front of me and all the way to my parents death. I was in total denial. Tried every option to stay and fight Howe or get mom with me.
A short scene where I thought I was pretty jaded and chose to put Ruck out of his misery. The cut scene, Ruck saying something about "Mommy, I see the light" and then Morrigan averting her eyes looking a bit sick, hit me like a punch in the stomach.
The whole parade of good byes after the battle of the gates of Denerim was just too much.
Oghren - "Now we show them our hearts and then we show them theirs"
Lelinan - "Now we forge a legend of our own"
and of course Morrigan with voice almost cracking - "Live gloriously". I had to let go of the keyboard and compose myself when I said goodbye to Morrigan then.
My ending was I choose Anora as Queen with myself as consort, since I was more or less convinced that the romance with Morrigan was doomed anyway by then. I then suffered my best buddy Alistairs fit, when I figured I had to pardon Loghain. I still can't make up my mind if I betrayed him or he betrayed me. I remember feeling so lost in thepost coronation. I had tried to make choices that was good for Ferelden and ended up feeling so lonely for it. Then the game pulled one last trick on me and I discovered Anora in a corner by the fireplace. Suddenly Anora saves my whole ending with two short lines when she opens up and wonders if I am as nervous about the wedding as she is. I fell in love with her right then and there - I swear.

Here was I, the Dalish rogue with the silver tongue, having argued Ser Cauthrien out of fighting me and seeing Loghain for what he really was. But what she said struck a chord with me, and even though I probably shouldn't have, I not only saw Loghain as the misguided, paranoid despot, but remembered the hero he once was. Still, he deserved death, didn't he? Then again ... what about the code of the Grey Wardens? To stop the Blight at any cost? And what a powerful ally a cunning strategist like he would make! So I decided to let him live.
Oh, the drama!! Alistair furious, feeling betrayed, and I cannot blame him for it, only now realizing I might win a shady ally at the price of loosing a true friend, even so finding myself forced to side with Anora to allow Loghain to become a Warden, because the Blight is the only thing that matters (or so I keep telling myself). And now of all things Anora wants to execute Alistair (are you crazy, woman?)! Of course I talk her out of it, yet still I loose Alistair as a companion.
At this point I find myself tempted to hit the quickload button and do it all over again. But also not wanting to betray this deep and rich story moment, it's with a heavy heart that I decide to stand by my decisions.
That was the best DA:O moment so far for me. Thanks Bioware!

The most touching moment for me was when my dog came to me before the final battle and whined, and I replied "Don't worry, boy. I'll be back soon." For some reason, that was the most moving part in the game for me.
The line "You be a good boy now" got to me more.

When your gettin ready to go to Denerim for the final battle you get the cutscene where the dad is looking into his son's eyes, with mom standing to the side as he leaves to go fight n then you see the dad again in Denerim getting his throat slashed by darkspawn as your army breaks into the city... That one got me all teary eyed... I had to reload that just to make sure it was the same guy in yep it was.
I didn't even pay attention but you're right! @_@
May his polygons be restful in the Fade for I avenged him a thousandfold by now.

Ya, the dead nephew and sister in law was a surprise for me. I was too rushed in my first playthrough so I didn't see it until my third when I played a human noble again.XOGHunter246 wrote...
human noble origin was touching really built a real reason throughout the game my noble rp was for revenge and only that then to change to someone who wanted to help people.

I was struck by the end of the human noble origin story, with the Arl and his wife staying together. The scene was heavy with drama, but their statements to each other were simple and suggested more loss than could be remedied by killing Howe.
But it sure helped!

the end of the human noble origin. The facial expressions were done beautifully, and seeing your neice brutally murdered on the ground broke my heart.
When zevran has given you the earring, and you press him to join you in your tent. It really surprised me how angry he got when you pushed him about it, mostly because that was the only other emotion aside from lackadaisical I'd seen him show in the game,
When tamlen comes back as a shriek, and says, "Don't... want to hurt you... lethalla," from the Dalish origin story.
When Morrigan admits that she thinks of the grey warden like a sister.
Sacrifing isolde was especially gut-wrenching. I hated her, but the way the scene was played out I felt like total crap about my decision.
And if you should accidentally lead alistair on while he is at +100 approval so he falls in love with you because you said 'I like you the way you are', rejecting him is like kicking a puppy over and over
Finally, Loghains last statement about how 'daughters never grow up, they stay 6 year old girls with pigtails forever' really moved me.

Warden: Thank you, Sten.
Sten: When the Qunari invade fereldan I hope not to meet you on the battlefield.
Warden: I hope I don't see you there either.
Sten is awesome.

That is utterly horrible, and had to be my first playthrough even! I played through the game just to rip out Arl Howe's heart... only to find out that I could only kill him quickly ='(

The father saying goodbye to his son in redcliff
And one thing that really make me sad , in the end my human noble sacrifice himself , reading what happens to your companions Sten and Ohgren lines are great.
