Actually almost every GTX user is having problems. Those who are working fine are the ATI users. There is definitely something in Dragon Age that is not optimized or compatible with Nvidia cards.

Though most report of problem is not what the OP have. it is about DirectX and Very High Setting (and not medium).

I'm not having any problems with my Nvidia card - PNY GTS 250

However, it is only Day 2.  Not to say it is right, but every game has problems when it is released. I would suggest running the game in DX10 or DX9 until a patch is released, which if there are as many people having problems as you say, will be released soon in order for them to save the criticism.

I only see a DX11 and DX9 option, how would I run it in DX10? Also, DX9 only allowed medium mode, I want to run it on at least high.

Seems that the 267.26 drivers aren't out for my card, just 267.24.

I do believe DX11 is causing the issue.

They won't be, they are just out for the GTX 560 Ti, you have to mod the .inf file. It might sound silly, but I was running Dragon Age 2 with the 267.24s, and it kept on freezing my game. The modded .inf for the 267.26s fixed that.

You run it in DX10 by using the backwards compatible DX11 renderer, and just select the High graphics setting, it says it only needs DX10 hardware.

Can I get some information on the modded infs, and links? Possibly a howto? I'd seriously appreciate it.

GPU Temp while on game - 65C
High Res - Installed
Leaked 270.32
Page file corrected to what's mentioned in the last post
Under 60 processes

I can run the game now on high without AA or anything, so now everything has blah edges, but at least I'm getting 30-50 FPS, sometimes it goes down to 25, but still playable at least.

I've yet to try the 267.26 drivers as no one will give me proper information on how to do it.

Oddly enough, having high res enabled seems to have helped my FPS?

Running the game as an admin didn't do much good.

Any other ideas on what I can do?

EDIT:

I figured out how to get the 267.26 drivers installed, did a clean install with them, made somewhat of a difference.

I
can run it on high, 1920x1080, anisotropic filter 4x, AA 4x, the other
thing disabled, high res enabled, vsync disabled. Getting a smooth 28-40
FPS, no stuttering though, just smooth as silk. It was a little choppy
on the other drivers I was using. I'm getting a good 40-60 FPS with AA
and AF disabled.

I still think a couple patches to the game, and
some further updates on the drivers will increase the performance given
some time.

I guess I'm going to defrag my HDD next, maybe that will do some good.

And update from me:

Using the GeForce Driver v267.24 only slightly reduced the problem, but for some reason using the v267.26 beta driver meant only for the 560 TI that I modified to be installable on my 260 GTX fixed it completely. I played several hours now and there was no more hangs.

Judging by the download page the only difference of that driver to the 267.24 is support for the 560 TI, but obviously there is something else going on, too.

Let's apply a reminder, once again, that the very latest of the Geforce graphics drivers very often do not work at all well for Geforces older than the GT200 generation.  That includes the 7n00, 8n00, and 9n00 (and various renamed 9n00s with "100" indicators in the new names as if there was a new generation between the 9n00s and the GT200s).

My system is very similar to the OP's, only my card is a GTX 285. I am having less than satisfactory performance, even in dx9 mode using "medium" graphics settings. Disabling the high res textures doesn't make any difference to fps. The game is unplayable on "high" for me.

Odd, as the demo is smooth as silk in the intro with maxed out dx9 settings, yet using the exact same settings in the retail game results in choppy performance.

I'm confused, what does this have to do with my original post..? I have a GTX 260, maybe you should read before you jump to, DRIVERS DONT WORK WELL WITH RENAMED HARDWARE THAT I THINK YOU HAVE BUT I DIDNT READ, lol.
