Anyone else experiencing this?
I've found a healthy settings on DX11 High with Hi-Res textures until BioWare decides to get their garbage together and optimize Very High.
But I've noticed that regardless of settings, you get laggy animation when running, panning camera, etc unless you hold down the right mouse button or put the cursor along the ability bar. If I do that, it runs smooth as silk. But the second I release the right mouse button, the animation is laggy.
What on earth is going on here?
Lag In Game Unless You Hold Right Mouse Button?!

The report for this issue was created on March 12th. User KRYZZX reported, 11 days ago, that you can work around this issue by switching your windows theme to basic. Try that and make sure you have the most recent ATI drivers.

Unfortunately, often times it is something else entirely giving similar symptoms so we have to be sure to eliminate false-positives.

I'll post the specs as well as my game settings next time I'm on my home PC. I can tell you that I have Win7 x64 and a GTX460 but I always play everything in windowed mode - I'll try it in fullscreen to see if I have a similar issue.

Just an update on this issue:
Looks* like we've got this issue resolved (finally). Assuming all goes well, it will be included in the next patch

A note about the fix that we've included in the upcoming patch - we've added a new checkbox to the options menu, allowing you to choose between two different targeting systems. The system that shipped with the game is more accurate but, as you all know, can perform poorly on some systems. The second targeting system sacrifices some of that accuracy for improved performance.
So, when the patch releases, the game will continue to default to the original targeting system. If you're not happy with how it performs on your machine, please go into the options menu and experiment with the two systems to find the one that you prefer.
Thanks for raising the issue,
Rob

Hi Rob, could you talk more about this new targeting system? What is the difference between the original and the new one (besides improved perfomance/less accuracyRob Bartel wrote...

Rob)?
Or will I be able to find out the difference for my self soon *hint* patch release anticipation *hint*.
Personally I find the difference between the on/off to be negligible, perhaps it's just the way I target/play the game. It's definitely not a burden in any way in all the test cases we've had (including internal and external testing)
