Problems getting DLC Items

I am aware of other topics regarding this issue however i did not wish to hijack them so i am making my own.


(Account A)

  • I have registered all bonus content on the website
  • It appears on the registered content page
  • My gamertag is linked to this account.
  • I am logged into the DA servers using this account
  • No bonus content from this account is appearing either ingame or in the Extras menu
(Account B)

I have another EA account which was linked to my gamertag(I got it changed by Customer Service)
Out of curiosity, i registered this account to recheive emails to see if  i would get bonus content ingame, Which i did.

This is my understanding on the problem, I am getting content from Account B added to my game even though i am not logged into Account B ingame, I am logged into Account A, my gamertag is linked to Account A and so is everything else to do with my current game apart from the fact that i was linked to Account B. Account B is no longer linked to my gamertag(It says).  This has led me to the conclusion that somehow the Customer Service agent that changed which account my gamertag was linked to messed up and actually my gamertag is not linked to Account A even though everything(Website & Game) says it is.
I am sorry if my accusations are false but it is the only answer i could come up with.  Does anyone have any advice?

Edit: I must add, My avatar picture is from Account A, So it proves that both that my game is linked to this Account.
Edit2: I can add that i do not recheive items from the facebook game using this account.

How did you contact EA? Email? They won't let me know anything...Atleast they kinda helped you...

I was having a similar problem.

I contacted the Live chat (http://help.dragonag...k/accountType/1) - I had two accounts.

My GT is linked to one email. NOT the email that all my "extras" where linked to, not the email my gamertag was linked to. It appears I registered here twice with two different accounts. My bad.

Long story short we are a two household Xbox family linked to two different emails. Recently when creating my account here I used our most commonly used email not thinking to use the one my Xbox live email uses. So all off my stuff was under the wrong email.

Live chat was very, very helpful. They transferred all my stuff to my now gmail account. Once starting up the game I see all my content under > "EXTRAS" > "UNLOCKABLES". It did take quite a while in chat but once we figured out my big fat mistake the CSR was very helpful in transferring all my stuff to correct email account here on social bioware and once rebooting my xbox everything was there.

Here is to hoping there are no further problems once I start playing this bad boy.

Basically, contact them and have them link your GT to whichever email is linked to your EA account - it says what email it is on the main menu screen (at least for me it did). Some data may need transferred as well.

I did the same thing you did and I do not see my bonus content either. Maybe our GT really isn't linked.

Wow, sounds like you may be correct they may have your GT sync'ed to the wrong account.  Does the email for this account here match the email on the main menu of DA2? (EA-Id. email)  Just curios. 

All I can tell you is I had royally screwed mine up by having two accounts.  My gmail account had a few DLC things, where as my email (a road roaner account) I used most recently to create an account here had ALL of my DLC.  The only DLC items showing up in the main menu were from my gmail address because that is were EA had my ID, and it had my GT linked to it as well.

I hate to say it, but maybe try the LIVE chat again?  I know it can be a pain, and take awhile but if you can get a competent person I would think they could help you.  It took us nearly 2 hours but all is well that ends well.

Update:

Went and got everything transferred back to my old account(DLC + Gamertag) and still no joy, However any items i earn from the facebook game are appearing ingame so it proves that everything is set up fine.

At least your game will let you connect to the servers. Mine keeps telling me it failed to connect. It is starting to get annoying. Doesn't even give me a chance to try and time in my name and password for the servers. Just goes black screen then tells me it didn't connect. So my DLC doesn't exist at all until Dragon Age II can do what Dragon Age: Origins does and connect to the servers. It's actually weird that the second game can'y connect and the first one can. Anyone else have this problem?

ya know im having some of the same problems as other people. i have the two account problem when i load dragon age 2 its showing an old email address on the game for my ea account login. and i no longer have access to that email account. since then i have changed everything on my xbox live account information to the new email account. also when i created this account at bioware social network i used the new email address thats linked to my gamertag and by the way ive only had one gamertag the whole time ive been on xbox live. and all my preorder codes i used under this account. ive emailed ea customer support and all they did was send me a new 16 digit code to use for this site. which doesnt help me out if the game is loging in under an old email account. does anybody have any suggestion's

P.S. wouldn't it save everybody a lot of trouble if they only used the 25 digit codes on the game it self ya know do away with the 16 digit code! im sure everybody would much rather be playing the game or discussing something else than having problems entering a code!

hey guys i just figured out my own problem without n e help from ea. i signed in under my sons gamertag and went to my ea account used his gamertag as my master id. loaded the game and created him an ea account. then went to unlockables and wow its all there! then i signed in under my gamertag loaded my game its all there in my chest. this might suck for those of you that dont have more than one xbox live enabled gamertag. but for those of you that do thats at least a fix for you. if you try that i hope it works for you!
