Im trying to install dx11, on dxdiag it says I have 10. I downloaded sp2 for vista and try to manually install 11 but it says that no more current versions are available. Is there anyway i may have 11 installed and it is not showing it correctly? The visuals on med setting are so bland way worse than what I had on origins.

Nothing? I have a 3870, I was hoping to at least get some dx10 options.

Your graphics card can not run DX 11 and the game does not support DX10

The game DOES support DX10, if you have a DX10 video card. You just run on the backwards compatible DX11 renderer, and select the High graphics setting, where it says it works with DX10 hardware.

I get problems with the MINI-Map display in windows 7. where i had no problems in XP.
going thru similar problems after getting a new windows 7 system. i have my dragon age 2 stored installed on the old windows xp hard drive F and my windows 7 system running both drives. the problem is the dragon age 2 thinks its running on xp with direct x 9. the video card drivers are legacy X1950 pro radeon. and the video card manufactuerer is not going to support direct x 11 on legacy cards.. but your free to buy a new video card.. haha.. or seek microsoft support..
I think the workaround is to install dragon age 2 on the windows 7 drive and delete it off the old windows xp drive.. but the pain is i'm going to lose all my mods and have to reinstall everything. and the other possible fixes might include
1) buying a new video card from a manufactuerer other then ATI ( owned by AMD).
2) using direct X 11 from microsoft with only windows 7 signed drivers. (to avoid incompatibilitys)
3) alternate solution might be to uninstall windows 7 and reinstall windows xp on both drives.
saves money but its moving backwards instead of forwards and will cause other things to malfunction besides dragon age 2.
its a necro-bump post though.. the solution would be to get a new video card that is known compatible with operating system win 7, hardware compatible with mainboard and dx11 compatible with game.
newegg can definately help but you will need specifics of hardware system before you can find the correct video card.. and that can be complicated..
bestbuy offers excellent service support staff though that can make the upgrade less painful if your less computer savy on upgrades.
