I've seen people asking about runes, but I know at least how to add them.

Now, I can't seem to remove them in any way. Is the weapon ruined in a sense and stuck with those runes or is there a way to remove or at least replace them with something else. I wanted to test out runes on a weapon only to not be able to do anything more than the one attempt it seems.

There is no way to remove the rune once you have put them on an equipment, you can replace them by putting another one on it.
