 Okay, so I googled up how to actually do it, and the fourm said  that as long as you have the same email for both accounts then it would automatically link.

However, at first my email that was attached to my Xbox gamer tag was different, but a few days ago I jumped through hoops to get it changed but my EA account is still saying that they are not linked.

At first this wasn't a big deal, but some of instructions for the codes that I got by preordering the game say that I need to have these two accounts link for me to get these items (this also goes for the items on Dragon Age Legends that I earn).

What's my next step in getting this worked out? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your gamertag already linked with an EA account other than the one you are using here?

No, this is the only EA account I have.

Ok, then go to the EA Profile page and log in using the same credentials you use here. Once you are in go to the "persona" section and add your Xbox gamertag. That will link the two together.

I tried and it's telling me that the gamer tag has already been taken.

I did delete an old account because I couldn't figure out how to change my email for it.  Would that effect it at all?

That means your gamertag is associated with another EA profile you will have to contact EA Support to get it moved over.

If you had an old BioWare Social account that you deleted it would not have deleted your EA Profile just your forum account.
