A friend said that you have to help the guards with the marauders to make the quest activate and work, sometime in act 2 if I recall on wounded coast.

same here, not as game breaking as merril having to kill the keeper for no reason, but meh.

 If you are referring to the "Lost Patrol" quest. I did it, and the quest is still bugged. Just a Bandit Leader standing there doing nothing?

I also helped the guards with the marauders, and I get to point and the bandit leader is just standing there, also I have 2 or 3 quest's to wrap up in gallow's, but whenever I enter the area now I go strait to the final quest and the others are wiped out, guess you just need to finish up before reading your mail eh.

Glad I'm not alone (also got the Evett encounter prior to that) ! Be careful, it even disabled right-clicking for me once I left the map so I had to load an earlier file.

As long as you don't read the letter, you can still go to the Gallows.  "The Final Straw" starts automatically after you read the letter then go to the Gallows

If any of you had the game guide you would know its not a real quest....I had the same issue and looked up EVERYING i could...and even bought the game guide....

Or its one that was updated but never finished....so for it being an ACTUAL quest....probable not gonna be one that can be "finished" at all....but we will see what they do about it :3

That same bug happened to me in my first play through.

On the second I didn't even get the quest. Ever.

Weird. But I'd rather not get the quest than get it and have it marked as active forever. Those bug me on a subconscious level. It's like an itch on your back that you just can't reach.

Mine bugged out as well, as did the Sketchy on the Details quest. I think it has something to do with Evets showing up when you go back to the coast. Has anyone tried going to the coast without the quest, killing Evets, then getting the quest and going back?
