RAM: 6GB DDR3
GPU: Nvidia Gefore 250 gts 512mb
OS: Vista x64
Harddrive: 1tb SATA.

I believe i can play the game on the highest settings but i have yet to test this out on any recent games tbh, the only game i will be playing will be DA:O and then i normally stick to my consoles.  If anything concerns me it might be the graphics card...there are soo many out there and some appear to be reboxed 9 series cards etc.


Any advise or suggestions would be great, thanks in advance.

O.o yes you probably can with a cpu like that and a 250M GTS would do good its deffiantly in the High setting the 250M its good enogh for High/Max

I am not asking, I am just happy that the new pc I built for Windows 7 and arrived yesterday has a very appropriate theme for this game which is going to be the first new game I play on it.

The CC runs wonderfully with my rig but I'm afraid the tons of rendering will really strain my cpu. It is already at 100% during the CC. Hope to get a good i5+mobo+ddr3 soon.

Can someone please tell me if these PC system specs will run Dragon Age ok:

CPU:  Intel® Core™2 Extreme CPU Q6850  @ 3.00GHz, 3000 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
RAM:  Physical Memory (RAM)    4.00 GB
VIDEO:  2 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra SLI
VIDEO RAM:  768.00 MB (805,306,368 bytes)
DVD ROM:  ATAPI DVD A  DH20A3P ATA Device
STORAGE:  2 TB of hard drive space over 4 drives.

Im sure they are fine, but was wondering if these would be good enough for the Highest settings.  Ive never had any problems running games at the Highest settings befoere, apart from maybe Crysis, which is very power hungry.

Speed of the processor isn't enough, we need to know which model(Pentium? Athlon x2? Core 2 duo?)

Anyway, in general it will run medium.

Well, you would probably need a stronger card, but that is mostly because of the resolution.

It will still run high settings although not "maxed out"

Maxing it out would probably take something like a HD4870/4890/5850 or GTX260.

.. You can max it out and do some video editing on the side if you feel like it.

Whoops, sorry forgot to mention. Yeah, it is a dual core. Intel Core 2 Duo. And most games, yes, it usually runs on medium with no problems which is generally...fine with me as long as it  runs smoothly!

I was wondering if this would be capable of running the game or not...or if overclocking would help at all. I've read into it and I should be able to get 2.8 out of it by overclocking. What would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

The devs have said that amd 64's running 2+GHz will be able to run the game ok.

Just be prepared that the processor may limit performance at times when a lot takes place on the screen at once.

As for overclocking: Read relevant guides and be careful if you decide to do it!

Are you meeting/exceeding the min specs, or the recs?

I have xp right now, 32 bit home. 4 gigs ram but it only recs 3. BFG 8800 GTS 640 oc, Amd Athlon 64 x2 6000 3.1 ghz. Should i switch to Vista pro 64? not only because of ram but for directX 10?

Nvidia just released some new beta drivers that add support for SLI and multi gpu for dragon age... i thought i should everyone know. Drivers is 195.39

I actually would say no, at least not specifically for DA:O.  Yenkaz'll want to weigh in on this, but I wouldn't specifically suggest it.  If you want to for other reasons go ahead.


@Sylvokis: Yeah, Yenkaz is exactly right then.  You'll be in fine shape other than the situations which really tax the CPU.

What's your video card?  That's a big factor.  And on RAM, you're fine on XP with 2 - I'd defer to the wisdom of others re: whether it makes much of a difference beyond that point.
