Idk man that's a pretty unimpressive PC for bragging purposes.

I have a PC above the minimum specs, but only get 15fps in the CC (1024*768 resolution). I'm quite worried (the FPS will certainly drop ingame)

Here are my specs:

System Model: EasyNote SB85

Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

Memory: 3062MB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

Windows vista 32

It's a laptop, cannot upgrade (and can't afford a new PC). Any advice?

How do you check FPS for CC, is there a universal program to check FPS for any game or is there an option in CC to check FPS?

Use trial version of FRAPS, it's free

Your specs are actually not all that much above minimum specs. I think it merely reachs the minimum specs.

The keyword here is "M". Laptop graphics cards/CPU generally have massive disadvantages when compared to desktop hardware.

Thanks Ghoxen, I've updated all my drivers, will see if there is any overclocking possibility. Or will reduce the graphic options...

Well if we are to trust flem1's list of cards, you should be fine on medium settings.

Medium would be fine. I checked my CC option, I'm currently running it on high texture. Will certainly gain FPS ingame by reducing this setting.

Thank you.

This PC won't be able to run it at all imo, your graphic card is a HUGE bottleneck. If you get 15 frames in the CC, I expect you to get 3-5 in game.

Please ignore what I previously mentioned about merely reaching minimum then. flem1 is right. :P I didn't know he had a list.

Yeah I was surprised as well but SUPPSEDLY this is the list of cards that will be playable on medium: Nvidia 7800, 7900, 8600, 9500, GT120; ATI 1800, 1900, 2600, 3650.  I think an 8600M fits somewhere in that area.

Oh, wait.. you mean he listed 8600 only? 8600M is not anywhere comparable to 8600. I'm going to take what I just said back. =X

If 8600 can get medium, the most 8600M can get may be low.

I'd bet my money on it that the list is pretty accurate. However, a 8600m doesn't fit among those cards(which isn't originally included in the list in the first place).

You should be able to run Medium, with possibly some settings on high, smoothly.

I'll bet money right now it's not. I predict that when the game runs out people are going to flock to these forums complaining of low fps on their 7800, 7900, x1800.

Maybe. The devs have stated that these cards generally run DA:O in the 25 FPS range with settings on low, with occasional dips, IIRC. The game was tested on 7900's and runs mostly smoothly on low. Folks who get upset should check the system specs before buying.
