Medium settings. Processor is a bit low but you'll be fine.

Maybe highish on lower resolutions.

You will probably be CPU bound once in a while in big battles.

Duo core 8500 (3.1gHZ),

4 GB DDR3 Corsair Ram

X-FI Hendrix

Vista 32bit

Now the Sticking point:

9800 GX2 - Anyone know if DAO is SLI compat? I run the core's unlinked (none SLI mode) most of the time as ETW had a nightmare with this card I'd like to use the card to it's full potential but not at the loss of stability (nothing worse than crashing jsut after beating a big boss)

Thanks.

This should be fine. I have a similar setup, but I'm worried about my 4830 might not be able to handle at above 768p on max everything.

My specs are as follows:

Notebook:

Toshiba X205

C2D t7500 @ 2.2 Ghz

3 GB Ram

Dual GeForce 8600M GT (SLI)

I am thinking med - low maybe?

Also, does DAO take advantage of SLI?

Thanks!

Dunno if someone already posted this:

Dragon Age will work on your PC as good as Mass Effect Will work on it.

Judging on the specs of DA and ME, DA will be heavier. In basically everything, so no.

But if you can't run ME, you can't run DA.

Medium settings in general, although if you have an 1920x1080 screen you may have to choose between resolution, quality settings and performance.

It is hard to tell, since we do not know how much SLi adds on Dragon Age.

But I would say that you should at least get by on medium.

I have a similar notebook as the ones above (slightly higher end)

Vista home prem. 32bit

Core 2 duo 2.6

4GB ram

Nvidia 9600m GT (the 512MB memory model)

I'd like to run it at 1440x900 res (even if that means lower settings), but I'm also curious as to what res all you computer gurus think I should run it at.

Thanks!

You should always run the game in the native resolution for your screen. Else it's going to look messed up (unless you have an old CTR monitor, they don't have native resolutions).

And that should work fine btw. I don't know how the M version compares to the desktop version, but low should be perfectly fine. I'm not going to bet on medium, but you should certainly try it.

My specs:

Pentium Dual Core @ 2.66GHz

4GB RAM

GeForce 9600GSO 512MB

Also, I have a 1920x1080 monitor

How well will I run DA:O? I'm wondering if I can get medium settings with the full resolution.

Also: I have a 360, but I'd prefer the PC version

Well, a dev did point out that he could play medium @ 800x600 with fps around 15 on an 9300m g(s?), so in general mid-end GPU's like 8600m-9600m-9650m-130m gt and HD3650/HD4650 should at least be able to run medium settings at a respectable rate on an 1280x800/1400x900-ish screen.

Also, remember to quote the person whose specs you are commenting on, there are only minutes between posts at times.(this is not to chikkenstorm but in general to the people commenting on this thread)

Med perhaps a little in high..
But med i think you can pull off, maybe slight lag in huge battles..

Ok then where can I find out my "native resolution"? I have a 21 inch Widescreen (16:10) Samsung monitor.
