I don't understand what's going on with Isabela.

Not sure if this will be helpful, but:

"converse with her in the Gallows Prison or Fallows Courtyard in The Last
Straw to complete the romance"

If you haven't attempted that portion.

But that's at the very end. She shows up at my place in Act 3 with the question mark, that should be where she moves in and such no? She just stands there instead and doesn't say anything other than her usual banter.

A Wooden Ship: Smugglers Cut Cave during the Blackpowder Courtesy quest in a container.

......

I finished that quest. Is there a way I can go back and get the gift somehow? If I can't romance her now because of this I am going to be so incredibly pissed.

Shes actually one of the harder romances and you'll need to bring her along as much as possible for side quests. Shes much more interested in your actions towards people (try to be a mercenary with a strong sense of taking responsibilities for your actions) and not the typical game romance of choose the right dialogue choices when conversing with her despite never actually having those convictions.

So even though i apparently missed the first gift for her, and if I follow your advise is romance with her still possible?

Potentially, the gifts are in act2 and act three im not completely sure how many opportunites you have left for point gains based on quest dialogues.  Most people can be romanced at rival or friend but hers is a special case needing 100% friend to fully unlock I had her at almost full friend before act 2 started with a specifically tried to tune my character towards her.

Edit: Be prepared to save and reload a lot to explore some of the other actions towards ending quests generally speaking do the opposite of what aveline would want. The biggest example is in act 1 with the magistrates son. Kill him and demand the elf pay you and you end up with like 20-25+ points towards isabella.

So being near the end of Act 2 it is too late... *sigh*

Have you already given her one gift?

I was aiming for the Isabela romance too.  I had her at 100% firendship throughout "Act 2", and had given her the first gift.  I was concerned I'd missed something which is when I found this thread, and I read about the second gift.  I went and got it either at the very end of Act 2 or the very beginning of Act 3.

It isn't too hard to romance her, though it is certainly harder then Merril.  If you understand her personality and make your conversation choices based on that, you should be fine.

But she is 100% Friend, so do I even need the gifts?

I'm honestly not sure about the gifts.  I know for certain that Merril does not require any gifts for you to be able to romance her.  Whether or not this applies to Isabela is hard to say.  I know that when you give her the second gift, if you pick the correct conversation options, she sleeps with you again.

It is also possible for you to have a thressome with her and an NPC, but I won't give that away :P  Whether or not the threesome requires you to be romancing her, I am not sure.

My advice would be to simply do your best to pick the flirting options whenever you can, and act in a way that pleases her.  And give her the second gift, and complete her quests.  If it worked, you will get a quest where you meet her at the Hanged Man and she explains she may be falling for you.

I have the exact same problem.  Isabela is standing in Hawke's estate... I didn't ask her to move in, she just showed up.  However, she won't talk to me other than to say her usual stuff.  I don't even know if she realizes that she's not in a bar...

Is there a solution?

I chose 2 question marks at my estate, I did not ask about her husband dying, chose all the hearts, and the "your afraid of hurting someone else" thing, she walked off... since I didn't ask all three investigates will I still 100% romance? if not im reloading back a few hours.

Doesn't seem I posted correctly, I chose the first 2 ? marks when I first slept with isabella and all the right heart options... that was like an hour or two ago so I can re-load... I got the "your afriad of hurting others" etc - I did NOT ask how her husband died as I felt that was too much information... do I need all three? shes close to 100% early act 2 no gifts given yet :P

She will not admit she is falling for you until Act 3, but you'll need to give her the gifts and have her at 100% friendship.

In my game she has admitted she is falling for me and I've accepted her feelings. Is it actually known if she moves in with you? There hasn't been any indication she plans to in my game, even with the confirmed love. Seems like it suits her style more to be out on her own and not boxed in.
